Was giving our weekly update and there's a server called vmsqlpp01 that's missing some updates so I said that to the team and then said "pause for everyone to chuckle at pp" and not a single reaction from anyone I wanted to bury my head in the sand I was so embarrassed and then the about to retire IT director said "jake I caught that pp remark" in chat which only further added to my shame

So my store manager told me I have a bad reputation among most of management and I’m a problem employee

Lady on the phone asked if morning or afternoon would work for me and I just said yeah

IT director said in a teams call all according to plan so had no choice but to post the all according to keikaku in our meeting chat

so remember when I called out the day after halloween bc I was dying sick and I was laughing bc it turned out that everyone else called out too

my assistant manager is punishing 3/4 of us who called out that night and saying we are unreliable for being sick and not wanting to work around fresh food/food service areas

she is saying that we only get one shift in the coming week because we don’t deserve to be there if we are unreliable

she thinks we all called out on purpose

I just love my job yknow

watching the school shooter eps of Fosters it’s reminded me of how the company I work for and the computer lessons they force us to complete are insane.

I worked there for 4 months and we had already had the exact same active shooter video lesson 3 times

my own high school didn’t have a contingency plan for students to know during an active shooter situation, but my work has them nearly every month? 

my school never talked about shootings...any of my schools actually. I know it happens around the country and it’s terrifying, but how did it come to be that big corporations have more of their shit together than the school system?
