Who’s still here?

So this is my first actual post on this blog in months. It was meant to be a Motorcity fan blog, but I sort of fizzled out cause I felt like I was kinda on my own. You know, writing into the void. I actually only opened this page to delete this blog, cause I figured there wasn’t really anyone around.

But then I opened up the Motorcity tag, once more for old times sake, and I saw a couple posts floating at the top, dated very recently, and I was so excited to find out I was wrong. There are people here, hovering almost, waiting for something to happen. So, instead of deleting this blog, I’m gonna try to make something happen.

I’m still here.

I’m here and I’m going to keep this blog going, I’m going to write head cannons and those silly chat things and maybe another fic if I can string enough words together. I know I’m not writing into the void now, I know you’re out there.

Whether if you’re a writer, or an artist, or one of those wonderful silent lovers who appreciate the fanwork and make it worth doing, if you looked up this tag hoping you’d find someone who still loves Motorcity, make it easier for them to find you.

Greetings Motorcitizens,

You have completed your test, the YouTube video has achieved over 1,000 comments. It warms my heart to see such an overwhelming outpouring of love from you all, even after such a long time... It truly brings a tear to my eye.

Now, if I’m not mistaken, I believe I owe you some information.

For those of you that are familiar with the writings of Orson Scott Card, this was what I like to call the ‘Enders Game’ maneuver. It seemed like it was part of the game, but the test WAS the quest.

So often is the case that outpourings of love and sadness for a show that has ended too soon can feel like screaming into an empty void with no one there to hear the cries.

This time Motorcitizens, I can assure you, though it is quiet, the void is not empty.

They have been listening and we have been heard. They know we are still here after all these years and thanks to the volume of our roar, an opportunity to allow new fans to find the show is… Being entertained… so to speak

I wish I could say more, but those of you who have been around long enough know that the only thing I love more than Motorcity is the chance to be vague, cryptic and tricksy.

Needless to say, that woooould be a vital first step in any efforts to reboot the show…. ;)
