What was your inspiration to create your main oc? (pass the question on)
I'm not really sure what the inspiration was for Rachel, but as soon as it came up that Ashton keeps disappearing at odd hours on the regular, my brain just went, "there's a woman involved."
I'm actually quite satisfied with how she came out. Rachel looks nearly exactly how I pictured her, with basically no need for any further tweaks.
I knew what her story was pretty fast.
Some things changed though. She was supposed to know she was pregnant before she left that stupid strip club. But that ended up changing...
And she's goth due to some really cool classmates/friends in the past being goths.

This scene actually brought tears to my eyes. And yes, her parents are what she's most terrified of, which makes sense. UGH. Bigoted parents are the worst. I think this is the first scene I've read (I never have taken the time to go back and read 5 years earlier) where it really shows that Roy actually does love her.
I was a bit of a mess writing it. And 5 Years Earlier is not essential reading but it does place a lot of their behaviour in better context, I think.

Roy proves right there that in is his way he does love her. But he has loved her for all the wrong reasons. Sonia has a long way to go and it's going to take a lot of growing on her part. And I just flat out love Violet.

Wow. I am mixed. This is the best break up I've ever read about. With both partners having found the right significant other and all. With supporting words and no hating cries. Humans hate change, yet life is change. But I'm still very very much selfishly upset about Roy ending up with someone that is not Sonia. It's not a tear, nope, there's something in my e- It's totally a tear.

Had really high analytical scores after finishing her undergraduate degree. She studied Info Tech with a focus on cyber threats, but wasn't completely sure where she would go after graduation. It was a bit of a "hey, whatevs, let's try this" when the idea of trying out for the FBI came up, but when she applied, her overall scores were good enough for her to get accepted.
She originally went into the intelligence analyst branch, which would've kept her mostly behind the desk/screen, but these days, there's a cyber element to many "traditional" crimes, so she ended up working with other parts of the agency. And when someone was needed to go undercover for this particular job, she turned out to have both the mental and the physical attributes required for it.
Even though she wasn't necessarily happy about having to go undercover as a stripper, she has to admit she rather enjoyed this aspect of the job. Despite being very fit and healthy, for many years she had a fairly unhealthy relationship with her body image. And strangely enough, having to get naked in front of random strangers made many of her old insecurities go away. She also finds it quite intoxicating to know that most of those guys would eagerly sleep with her if given the chance.
She grew up in a borderline-abusive household with a father who had a really short fuse and a mom who was eager to please him at any time. Delia and her siblings frequently found themselves walking on eggshells as a result of the atmosphere at home. Because of that, she's terrified of commitment and the idea of marriage is 100% out of question.
Her full real name is Jerrica Adile Lancer. "Delia" is an anagram of her middle name. And Bates is her grandma's surname, so, technically her fake name isn't a total lie.
