Well-Read Black Girl launches literary series to debut books from women and non-binary authors

Liveright Publishing Corporation and Well-Read Black Girl announced a partnership for a series to debut fiction from underrepresented authors.

“On Thursday, Liveright Publishing Corporation and Well-Read Black Girl announced a partnership for a literary series dedicated to debut fiction by women and non-binary authors, “with a focus on people of color and traditionally underrepresented voices.”The series is called “WRBG x Liveright” and stating in 2023 will publish two books a year.”

Today is the official publication day for The Daughters! Cue trumpets! Cue champagne! Buy the book, in so many places and ways, and then review it on Goodreads and Amazon and everywhere! 

Last week a bunch of people started to see their copies arrive, and many of them posted pictures on various social media outlets, or texted me photos, or sent me notes to let me know they had it in their hands. Today I assembled the pictures into a photo collage, and just the process of downloading so many images of people I love holding my book made me cry. Maybe I’m still crying.

It’s been a long, good, hard, good road, and you are all wonderful. Thank you to everyone who reads this book. Whether I know you personally or not, you are holding a part of my heart now. You’re a part of my heart now.
