A storm is brewing up over our land The dark clouds are forming Threatening, expand A swallowing rage seems to hover, consuming what was once sacred Now faintly remembered, as future generations wave hands. White supremacy. Black Lives Matter. Washington, King, Jefferson & Parks. What will become of us? Cancel culture? Intolerance? A free speech forgotten, our liberties a hush. A freedom replaced with a fear of our foundings failures. A deafening to the others pleas, our brothers keeper imprisoned. White Jesus. Black Jesus. Native American lands pillaged to casinos. Where have we gone? Were we ever really here? God help us remember, to love one another. So that as storms always do, pass followed by calm, leaving our beliefs, our mountains Our sacred spaces Our footing A solid ground? Or a fleeting memory? May this storm test us, and leave us stronger still. A human race of multiple colors, and one heart, our prayer to Thee. Amen. ///////////// #america #love #one #liveubuntu (at Soldiers Chapel) https://www.instagram.com/p/CCugZPJl9rq/?igshid=i5277l2uy05c
