I got a loaded question.

What’s your fave imagine dragons song? Just one like the top most listened to. And what is your fave album?

To be fair I’ll answer first. This question was tough for so long but as I grew like their music did it became simple.

Cha-Ching is my fave song. Smoke and Mirrors is my fav album.

aaaa this is such a hard question but selene is my most listened to song of theirs on spotify and it's probably my favorite overall?? like honestly i have probably 10 or so songs of theirs that are tied for my favorite but selene just hits different 😩🤌 like ?? "resolutions and lovers in the kitchen"????? "love is clueless and destiny is wishing"????????? beautiful lyricism and its just such a happy upbeat song ahjfhkjd i love it sm.... and most people dont know of it? like a lot of their popular/widely known songs are high on my ranking list but if i say theyre my favorite then i feel like a fake fan hjgjhfjgfj 

tiptoe is up there at a close second though i think... and summer,..... and a lot of others.... like i said i really cant choose just one

as for favorite album??? thats so hard to say.. my instinct answer is night visions just bc of the nostalgia of it all?? like every album has its bangers and its mids and its (unfortunate) skips but overall NV just has such a specific vibe that i love so dearly that sets it apart form the rest like it reminds me of being 12 and finding this new cool band to listen to and playing their songs that i illegally downloaded on my silly little phone with wire earbuds in the car and finally having music i felt a real connection with

cha-ching is a song that i used to not be a huge fan of? like ig i just never gave it a proper chance? but recently idk whats happened but i listen to it more than any other song of theirs rn?? like i didnt realize how much i liked it so now im overplaying it lmao i just love the "staring as the stars parade, are they telling me it's gonna be okay?" lyric so much and its so fun to sing with the "ah-ah ah ah-ah, what is with you? ive never seen this side of youuuuuuuuuuuuu" part dkhfjhfkj

smoke and mirrors is so good i love the overall theme of it so much djkfhkjsfh like the joy of the beginning of their journey is over now its time to face the fear that comes with realizing youre making the journey alone? leaving behind everything you knew? letting everyone down who wanted you to follow a different path? "things will change with time, only in summertime" and "im ready for the fall, ready for everything that i believed in to drift away"????? uhghgkjdfhglkzfgj it just has more mids than NV to me so i dont think i can say its my favorite unfortunately

i actually did rank all of their songs on tiermaker not that long ago which i know i posted on here but i think ive moved some stuff around since then (its a constant work in progress lmao)

Not really an ask more just wanted to talk to someone who has the same opinion as myself. I just got done reading CCity and HOBOOYYY you and I were thinking alike. I’m currently reviewing my questions I gave myself post read and my annotated notes to prep for a good reads review. I regret throwing away my receipt for this book. I blindly bought the sequel and don’t have much interest to read another 800 pages of bs. Yet I want to skim and see how much worse it gets. I cannot believe while reading through your FAQ the amount of accusations you got from a negative review. This is my first SJM book she’s had what 12 books? To improve and still writes this way? Like something off Ao3? I spent $40 for 2 books when I could’ve just logged onto Ao3 for free. Loved your review in good reads. I’m baffled at all the 4-5 star reviews every single one mentions the 600 page filler and LITERALLY attempts to sweep it under the rug. There was no challenge proses no fun in helping the characters solve the mystery. The plot twists became insufferable. The hints dropped were TOO easy. This book boasts a majority of these characters are smart so why did I figure out everything not even half way into this forsaken book?! They are suppose to be BFFs but Bryce couldn’t figure out anything in regards to Danika. The math ain’t mathing. Also so many people had spoilers without warnings?? UGH! SJM had a great foundation built up and if she spent any ounce of proof reading and editing it could’ve turned into a great work. But here we are. The only thing I’ll give her is she got me to read all damned 800 pages. It was like watching an accident play out and you can’t help not looking.

I saw you’re watching the Witcher series but are you also reading it?? I’m the fourth book into the series and would love to here your thoughts if you have the time if not I’m gonna snoop through your Witcher posts regardless. Anyways I’ll die on this SJM’s writing is shit hill with you. I already bought the first book in that court series so I guess I’ll take a gamble at that too. Pray for me.

yeah sj///m's books are always touted by her stans as things they emphatically are not, but stans' fervor over her books draws a lot of people in, as well as the art (i've said it before and i'll say it again: sj///m does not deserve her creative fans). people either love her books (for some unknowable reason) or hate them and become antis, in large part bc the standom around her doesn't allow individual thought or valid critique. my best friend has a couple friends who like sj///m's books, so she asked them why (she is NOT a fan of either sj///m or her books, and she's another published fantasy author so she's technically sj///m's coworker) and one of them said bc the books are sexy (i fail to see how but okay) and another said bc they like the mythology sj///m writes (there are so many better authors who write sexy books full of mythology but do it well and respectfully and don't copycat other authors who came before them), which baffles me. idk she's popular for reasons i can't fathom, though sometimes i think that her biggest stans remain stans bc they refuse to agree with us antis.

as for the Witcher, no i haven't read the books! i'm not sure if i ever will simply bc of a spoiler i learned about the ending of the series (for Geralt and Yen), and the writing doesn't wow me enough to make me want to invest time in a long series when i read so sporadically these days as it is. are you liking the books?

ac0tar isn't as bad as, like, ac0fas (the novel-length Christmas fanfic sj///m somehow got published in hardcover), so if you're gonna read any of the court books that's probably a decent one, though ac0maf is arguably better than ac0tar, ac0war, and ac0fas (ac0maf is also the book that made sj///m into who she is now; without ac0maf, she wouldn't be the prolific author who can sell literally anything)

1) If you could travel to one place you’ve read about in a book, what place would you visit and what book was it from?

I’ve always loved the worlds of The Rowen by Anne McCaffery. People are telepathic and humans have expanded across the universe. 

3) Is there a quote from a book that has inspired you/changed the way you view things? If so, what is the quote?

Most recently the quote that has affected me the most is from "Ruin and Rising" by Leigh Bardugo - “Are we not all things?” And it was just so profound to me. 

4) If you could marry a fictional character, which would it be?

I have so many fictional boyfriends I couldn’t even begin to pick one. 

13) Do you buy your own books, borrow books from your friends or get them from the library?

I mostly buy my books. Sometimes 

14) Have you ever stolen insults from books and used them in real life situations? If so, how did that work out for you?

I have. No one got it.

15) What’s your favourite insult from a book?

I don’t have one. I like too many

17) Do you have a stack of books you need to read? How many are there?

It’s uncountable. No really, probably it’s 20-30 books deep.

18) How many books (approximately) do you own?

Approximately I’d say somewhere between 500-600? Maybe

19) Are there any songs that make you think of certain books or scenes from books? If so, which songs/books?

AHAHA. I’m cheating but ‘Maybe Someday’ the song makes me think of Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover. 

21) Do you like the idea of e-readers/kobos/whatever they’re called or would you rather have the physical book in your hand?

Given that I have a nook e-reader I’d say I’m pretty okay with them. Sometimes its nice not to have to worry about the heft of books in my bag.

22) Do you like new book smell? Old book smell? All book smell?

I love all book smell. :D

26) Do you use actual bookmarks to mark your place? Receipts? Sticky notes? Or do you, heaven forbid, dog ear the pages?

I have a little bowl full of old business cards that I use for bookmarks. My goal is to one day make sure that all the paperbacks I own have a bookmark to go along with them. 

29) What’s your favourite book turned movie?

I’m actually going to go ahead and say Pride and Prejudice 2005 with Kira Knightly. I just loved how they did the whole thing and kept to the book.

30) Have you ever finished a book that rendered you so emotionally unstable you couldn’t start another one for a few days?
