@dangerouslyloyal stole Gellert’s soul
Gellert had long assumed whomever his soul mate was - they must have lived in somewhat similar time zones. His sleep was not filled with dreams of someone living their life - at least not often. No, more often he shared dreams with his soulmate - an experience he imagined the other found as equally miserable. Neither of them seemed to have especially sweet dreams - and he could not tell what came from him and what came from his destined other half.
However, as he had grown older and his sleeping patterns more erratic he saw more of the other man's life (and he knew for certain now that it was a man) and he supposed, perhaps - the other man saw more of what he was up to. He was curious as to what his soulmate thought - but not curious enough to seek him out, he had more pressing concerns and... It appeared the feeling was mutual.
But a short while ago - things had changed - his sleep was disturbed and the eerie, unnatural dreams he was being subjected to were disquieting him enough to drive him to distraction. His plans could wait, a few weeks, to allow him to resolve whatever the problem was.
Finding his soul mate was proving difficult - even with every tool at his disposal. He was closing in, however, because this clock tower - he has seen it before - so many times amongst the hazy blue mist. His patience, which is already frayed, only needs to last him a little longer.
He hopes his soulmate is truly a creature of habit and returns often enough to this spot.
