@mockeryofreason for one of the things we plotted. ❤️
At first the evening had been pretty hectic, lots of guests and thus a lot of work for him and the waiters to do. Luckily it had slowed down a lot in the last hour, so much so that Horatio was finally able to take his well deserved smoke break.
He had just lit his cigarette when he heard a noise - coming from the nearby dumpster. ‘Please just be a stray cat and not some crazy serial killer or something’ was his first thought even as he slowly crept closer to the origin of the noise. ‘I take it back. I’ll take the serial killer.’
A muttered “Well... bloody hell....” left his lips as he took in the slumped figure before him. The poor guy looked like he had a fight with a meat grinder - and had lost, badly. A sigh escaped him as he considered his options and mentally already berated himself for his decision. “Bloody hell...” He repeated even as he pushed the sleeves of his shirt further up and kneeled down before the other man, healing magic already gathering in his hands. He would do something like first aid and then carefully move the guy to his place. His pa wouldn’t mind it, wasn’t the first time Horatio had to disappear during his shift after all (he was truly glad his father was so understanding).
Once the basic healing spells had done their job, Horatio carefully picked the guy up, bridal style to minimize the chance of accidentally undoing his work of temporarily closing the worst wounds and headed to his flat, which was luckily only a block away.
