Flashback: Liz Meets Some Freaks
A foggy day is maybe not the best day to walk through the city. And yet, Liz didn’t care, she walked down the sidewalk in her dark blue and black dress. She smirked to herself as she walked along, knowing she looked good.
Liz had long slender legs, a thin waist, and a medium bust. Her deep red hair flowed down to the small of her back, thick and curly.
“Miss?”
A small voice called out in the fog. Liz stopped dead in her tracks, turning around and looking for the source of the voice. The 23 year old turned and looked, but saw no one.
“Down here miss”
Liz looked down to her feet, standing before her was a little teddy bear, dressed in only a red bow tie.
“Did...did you just speak?”
The little bear nods.
Liz steps back slightly “You moved. You speak. What...what are you?”
“I-im Ted. I’m lost. Can you help me?”
Liz looked around, there was no one around in the fog. “well...Ted...where are you from?”
Ted sniffles, beginning to cry. “I dont know…”
Liz frowns, bending down and picking him up. “Hey, hey little guy its alright. Please dont cry”
Ted sniffled, hugging her. “Will you help me?”
“Sure little guy. I’ll help you. “
Ted smiled and nuzzled her cheek. “Thank you miss.”
“Call me Liz little guy.”
“Can i call you mommy?”
Liz blinked twice. “S-sure...why not”
Ted hugged her once more. “Mommy”
Liz rolled her eyes, and continued walking down the fog drowned sidewalk. Gradually the buildings became replaced with trees, thick tall trees.
“The hell?” Liz looked around, finding herself deep in a forest, fog flowing along the ground. In her sight stood a small log cabin. She could faintly make out a figure standing on the porch.
“Oh shit, okay. Lets see what this is?”
“What is shit?” Ted asked.
Liz’s cheeks flushed red “Don’t say that! Its a bad word adults use when they are not sure or angry.”
“Oh” Ted rested his head on her shoulder.
Liz walked up the the cabin, the fog rolling away to reveal to her the hooded figure standing on the porch, she could only see his eyes and a mouth of sharp teeth.
“Oh god. Are you going to kill me?” Liz sighed.
Hood pulled off his hood, showing her his face. “What? Why would i kill you?”
“Well, clearly you are another one of those super powered weirdos, i dont know. “
“You call me a weirdo when you have a living teddy bear in your arms...well..asleep in your arms it looks. “
“Good point. Who are you?”
“The name is Hood-”
“Bullshit. What’s your name?”
“Tell me yours first you sassy little shit”
“Liz Wright.:”
“Jonathan Satlin. Call me Hood.”
“I’ll call you Johnny. “
“Of course you are. You want to come in and get warm? It’s cold out here. “
“Where am i?
“Tenaria, my pocket dimension. How you got here is beyond me, but hey, whatever. “
“The he- pocket dimension? Buddy, unless you have whiskey back there cold is not my problem with now.”
“Of course i have whiskey. You kidding me?”
“So you do have whiskey? “
“Yah, follow me inside and I’ll pour you a glass.”
“Screw the glass give me the bottle.”
Hood smirks “well alright then.”
