If you’re looking for a fic where TK is the most adorable, devoted lizard dad and Carlos is his confused but utterly smitten husband - complete with heart-melting moments (hint: Carlos watching TK sleep and he may or may not think TK is an actual angel) - this one’s for you.

This fic is phenomenal - every word, every bit of dialogue is 100% TK and Carlos. It deserves a spot on the fandom’s wall of fame. There’s one part in particular that hit me hard, it cuts right to the heart of why I never wanted them to have kids so soon, and it put that feeling into words in a way I didn’t even know I needed. I love it so much.

Also, TK with animals is a weakness.

The lizard arc is honestly such a pivotal moment. We already knew Carlos was absolutely crazy about TK, but until then, it was mostly implied. These scenes flat-out confirm it - he’s completely, hopelessly gone for this chaotic New York boy.

That scene where TK brings home Lou is such a whirlwind of emotions. Carlos’s face says, ‘Absolutely not,’ his body says, ‘Okay, fine,’ and his heart says, ‘I’d live in a jungle if you wanted me to.’

Honestly, TK could bring home a small dragon, and Carlos would still say, ‘Okay… just not on the couch.’”

I’m also surprised TK didn’t just toss Lou on his shoulder and start swaying back and forth, which was probably his plan B if Carlos said no.
