Real talk though, this is one of my favorite lizards books. It has all species of lizards found in the western states (including invasive species), gives details about their behavior and how to observe them!! In the first section it describes their habitats and natural history! It also give lizarding tips and lizard anatomy!!! In short I really recommend this book (it is pretty hefty though)

The memory that I remember best from Joshua Tree was us just climbing through the rocks.  We made jokes that we were being lizards out in the desert.  We took a couple photos of us being lizards soaking up the sun. #lizarding
