mercuryteeth Lizarene is a Latina trans woman that is a fashion designer, small business owner, and mentor to trans girls in the San Diego area. She owns a boutique with her spouses, Joe (agender intersex Irish American and possible elf) and Reyah (Afro-Muslim Lolita hijabi girl) and between the three of them they specialize in alt fashions. Joe does steampunk design, Reyah does candy Lolita, and Liza does casual club goth and corsetry. The boutique also offers classes to amab people that wish to present more femininely or alleviate dysphoria without surgery or therapy. Liza teaches everything from how to affordably make padding and breastforms, to quick and easy contouring tricks, to self-defense courses. Both Steven and Walter befriend her separately. Steven meets her at a fashion meetup in the city and they hit it off; she doesn't put up with his accidental occasional transmisogyny, and he appreciates that more and more as time goes on. Walter, meanwhile, finds her through her corsetry work and learns her boutique is a safe space for trans women, and she becomes the first person Walter comes out to. Lizarene is really cool and also my internal role model, honestly.
