Here's Mikey in his "I am angry and the only way I can think to deal with this is beat up people" I think he was actually doing pretty well for himself mostly just beating up street level criminals and trying to figure out what his dad was up to... Then he totally overestimated his ability to go and save his sister and genuinely thought he could best Gotham's worst villain with a baseball bat and attitude-
