The rest of the mermay drawings are complete!! This is from when I decided to do a Lorien Legacies themed mermay back in 2020, but never got to finish the last four days
Day 28 are Nigel (based on a gulf corvina, the loudest fish) and Ran (based on a koi fish)
Day 29 is Daniela (based on an atlantic salmon, native to New York)
Day 30 are Fleur (based on a flower horn fish, since her name translates to flower) and Bertrand (based on a bumblebee fish, similar to his life as a beekeeper and having the Legacy to speak to insects)
Day 31 is Setrákus Ra (based on an eel, though it's slightly augmented to resemble a mermaid tail that's been ravaged to hint at his former Loric self)
I will be in debt to you for anything Fleuriela or Nitrand, any era tbh
(part one of this prompt fill! a little meandery and part two will probably come tomorrow eheheh, i’m still mostly rereading the early parts of the series so i’m not super great at writing them yet but it is fun to practice. MORE FLUFF)

“Make a wish,” Daniela says, grinning, and swipes frosting down Fleur’s nose before licking the rest off her fingertip.
“Make a wish,” Fleur whispers, her eyes alight under fireworks, and holds Daniela’s hands in hers, in a grip made clumsy by mittens. She giggles and blinks when Daniela blows blonde hair out of her face to give her a kiss.
“Make a wish,” Daniela gasps, sweat dripping down her braids. The building is leaning and leaning and her hands shake as she holds it up. Fleur is weak with loss of blood, and her vision is fuzzing over dark, but she moves her lips around half-formed words as she trickles her remaining power into Daniela’s.
“Make a wish!” Fleur squeaks, and holds a muffin with a candle speared in the top up to the screen. Daniela puffs exaggeratedly, as if Fleur doesn’t have to blow the candle out for her, as if they’re not hundreds of miles apart on their respective missions.
“Make a wish,” Daniela mumbles, eyes fixed on the paperwork. She’s drumming the pencil eraser against the desk, and Fleur has to take it gently from her and continue scribbling down the page. This is the first situation of its kind in the six years the academy has been instated, and they’re nervous however happy they are. There’s plenty of reason to worry.
“Make a wish,” Fleur says, heart pounding in her chest as she glances in the office’s window, at the brightly-colored room and its contents. She squeezes Daniela’s hand, gets a clammy death grip in return, and pulls her in for a quick fluttering kiss. They lock eyes and take a joint deep breath, and file through the door to meet their daughter.
