“What? Did the world finally get so fucked it’s doomsday?” He was only half joking. Not that it mattered to him. “If so, let me know now. The house has very specific instructions for that” he knew with his luck he would be around when it happened. But he knew when it did, he vowed so long as he had the house he’d spend a nice time in a pocket dimension away from the chaos. Nice little vacation maybe.

John couldn’t help but scoff. “Don’t try to con a conman mate. Should know better than that” he said though knew the beat lies always held a bit of truth. “Come now Nicky we both know you made your choice. You got what you wanted. It’s not our fault you weren’t good enough to follow through.”

A smirk pulled against his lips. “And that’s without magic” it always amused him that others were shocked that he didn’t need to resort to magic to get what he wanted. It was like they expected the craft right off the back. “Honestly luv , if you’ve worked the block a few times it’s not hard to get what you need without trying” he shrugged. “Shall we? We know where the nest is now”

“It’s how humans are luv” he sighed heavily. He was suddenly tired, “if someone desperate enough they’ll gladly speed everything up to their advantage” he wasn’t sure if he blamed the poor desperate soul who did it. When A human was desperate they’d even make a deal with a devil. God knew he’s done it himself. More than once. Still when it got out of control like this was a pain in the ass, not to mention draining mentally. “There go our dinner plans” he sighed pulling out a cigarette to light. He wasn’t too worried he knew they could handle it. But sometimes people were harder to deal with than demons.
