first of all alex i hate you for tagging me but ok
Alex's questions:
1. Why did your OTP become your OTP?
Because I saw the idea and I think it kind of fell to place. I mean honestly, they've been pulling each other's pigtails for 7 years and always cried for the other's attention to a point it's almost obsessive. I'm not even exaggerating, re-reading the books right now I realise how intense it really is. They are such a match, so alike yet under so different circumstances, and I genuinely think they could give each other what no one else could. They could heal each other together and make each other stronger, and I think they could understand one another better than anyone else. And they'd have mind-blowing sex. Do I even have to say it's Drarry I'm talking about.
2. Describe yourself in 3 words.
Messy, dark, passionate
3. If you could choose one actor/actress from Harry Potter’s cast to spend a day with, who would it be and what would you do with them?
Tom Felton, no doubt
And not only because he's smokin', but because he seems like a wonderful person. I think I'd really enjoy his company.
4. What is your perfect colour?
NOOOOO I HATE THIS I REFUSE TO ANSWER
5. What do you think about all Hogwarts’ houses?
Ok prepare for a novel.
I think they somewhat can describe different kinds of people that are in the world. If I split people-types up in 4, I probably wouldn't make it the Hogwarts houses, but I would definitely use them as a model.
I really dislike how the Houses are portrayed in the books; the equality is completely over-bashed with prejudices and stereotyping. I suppose Harry isn't the most open-minded person in the world and since it's written from his perspective, maybe it has to be that way, but I still think it's a bit too much about what House is best in the books (and movies), and therefore also among the fans. I mean if all the main characters are in the same House, always wins the important competitions and always is presented as the "best" one, then naturally it will be more status belonging to that House than the others in the fandom. Which means the self-sorting will be dishonest and people will have different values.
I'm not saying this is a fact, or that everyone thinks or behaves so. But I've been part of the fandom for years - on other sites too - and this is something I've observed for a long time.
I also think that Hufflepuff has been misunderstood from the beginning. In the song, the hat says "Said Hufflepuff I'll teach the lot, and treat them all the same".
What people seem to focus on is that she'll teach the lot, meaning the ones who aren't qualified to be in any of the other houses. I don't think that is what she meant at all. I think the whole point with that was and treat them all the same. Whether you are white or black, straight or gay, pureblood or Muggle-born, girl or boy or in between, everyone'll be treated the same, regardless of anything else because every human has the same right the same value and the same importance in this world.
It shouldn't matter what House you are in, however, that doesn't mean you shouldn't act like a decent person. Because even though we're split into different Houses, we're in the same school.
Which could be translated into, even though we're split into different countries, we're on the same earth.
5. What is your favourite book and why?
Harry Potter feels a bit to obvious, so I'm gonna take another this time (even though Harry Potter will always be my favourite book and guiding light).
So I'd say it's Som om ingenting by Katarina von Bredow, meaning something like "as if nothing". It's basically about a young woman falling in love with her best friends dad, who falls for her too. It's not so much about the story, as the way it's written. It's written like a normal book but the sentences are so beautifully written the whole book feels like poetry. There are strong emotions and inner conflicts, and I change my mind about the man every time I read it. Unfortunately, it's only translated to German as far as I know, but if you speak German or Swedish you need to abandon the computer and go to the book shop right now.
My questions are:
1. What were you like as a child?
2. What are the 3 most important qualities in a person?
3. Tell me about a big turn in your life
4. What are you the most afraid of?
5. What would you see (do you think) in the Mirror of Erised?
And people I tag are… Alex, Sofia, Emma, Nora, Glen
tag game thingy
who tagged me: Alex
This tag is to get to know the person behind the blog better. As with any tagging game there are rules:
Rule 1 - Post the rules.
Rule 2 - Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post and then make 11 new ones.
Rule 3 - Tag 11 people and link them to your post.
Rule 4 - Let them know you’ve tagged them.
Questions I’m asking you:
1. what Hogwarts house do you belong to and what is your opinion on it?
Honestly, I don't know. In most tests, and on Pottermore, I'm a Gryffindor, but I feel like I don't really belong in any of the houses. My qualities aren't strong enough.
2. what is your favourite movie and why?
It varies from day to day. But apart from basically all the Disney movies, maybe V for Vendetta.
3. how do you think, how would your Patronus look like?
I don't know omg. A dog maybe. If I were an animal I'd be a dog. Oh but they can't eat chocolate can they? I'd probably not live for long then.
4. what is the colour of your eyes?
Somewhere between blue and green.
5. where do you want to live?
Anywhere that isn't here. Some place warm and with people I love.
6. if you could speak fluently one more language - except English - which one would you choose?
I don't know.. Spanish maybe? Or French.
7. cats or dogs?
Dogs. But I love cats too.
8. what don’t you like in other people? what makes you feel angry about them?
People who don't care for others. People who choose to look away because it's easier that way.
9. favourite TV series?
I rarely watch TV series, but Sherlock (duh), Grey's Anatomy and Glee.
10. what is your OTP?
Drarry. Hands down. And Misa and Islex.
11. do you like Disney movies? My emotional bond towards them are probably as strong as the ones towards Harry Potter.
NEW QUESTIONS:
1. What Harry Potter character are you most alike?
2. What (do you think) would have been your favourite subject at Hogwarts?
3. What's your dream profession?
4. Who is your favourite person in the world?
5. Do you have any weird talents?
6. What's your relationship with your family members?
7. Most overrated HP character?
