hello ! this is meghan, and i’m super excited to be here with kim jisoo, my first proper muse in a very long time. i was a bit busy yesterday ( with trick ‘r treat having been postponed until then), but i’m going to be around fully later on today to respond to all welcoming messages. there’s a few little bullet points under the cut in lieu of any actual pages, which should also be finished up later on today.
kim jisoo: born june 6, 1998 in seoul, south korea; the only child of a small hotel chain manager and his former starlet wife
as an only child of a business man, she grew up comfortably and is somewhat spoiled, although she makes a conscious effort to be humble (whether she manages to or not is another story)
currently attends sejong university as a hospitality and tourism management major (to supplement her expected future as a the heir to her father’s business); has plans to become a stewardess for korean airlines as her dream since she was a child is to be able to travel to different lands and promote korea
she was pretty popular in her high school (sehwa girl’s high school) because of her looks and apparent sweet personality, but she wasn’t really part of anything too interesting
is known to be a massive end.less fan and has operated a pretty popular fansite for the group since 2014 (although her identity isn’t confirmed to the public)
possible connections: any girls that attended sehwa, those in the hotel management business or are generally well-connected, anyone attending sejong, childhood friends from the neighborhood, etc.
honestly, given her current (presumed) lack of interest in pursuing a career in music and lack of background in it means she’s a pretty open slate for plotting. most of her development for a while is going to focus on her presence, so if you want someone with that sort of image to fill in anything you need for your muse(s)’s development, then hit me up right away!

We’ve been hard at work on this RP for a while, and it’s so nice to see it open, and with so much interest! I know I speak for the entire mod team when I say we cannot wait to get things rolling.
While on the subject of getting things rolling, though, my boy Sicheng is in need of plots and threads and connections, of course! I’ve included a few potential ideas, and some information about him below the cut! Don’t hesitate to slide into my DMs or like this post if you want me to hit you up! Sicheng moved to Korea just over two years ago, from Vancouver, BC, largely on a whim after becoming a fan of Genesis, and developing an interest in Kpop; thinking that his pretty face, and long history of involvement in performing arts, would grant him an advantage in potentially making it. He spent much of this time living off of his parents’ dollar, visa-hopping back and forth to Korea before making it past the initial Starfinder audition in mid-2018, eventually making it to the very end, where he was signed as a trainee by Blackout Entertainment.
Sicheng has lived something of a sheltered life, his mother having been very controlling, pushing him to be the child she wanted, and it wasn’t until he moved to Korea and was out from under her supervision that he began to come into himself; he’s still struggling with establishing his own identity, in some ways, but has come a long way in coming out of his shell.
He’s in need of friends of all sorts! Maybe a former Korean tutor (he’s no longer in need of one, as Blackout has its own in-house language tutors), a fling (or two?) from when he was still figuring out what exactly he wanted, before he started dating his boyfriend (this could have ended amicably with them both being friends, or messily, or maybe they’re still friends and your muse has some unresolved feelings because Sicheng kind of ghosted them romantically, etc. this one is really open-ended!), Sicheng also has a tendency to collect Chinese or English-speaking friends, because although his Korean has massively improved, it’s still a bit of a labour to speak. If none of these fit your muse, don’t hesitate to still hmu, and we’ll brainstorm!

he went to south korea because he loves music and he takes that very seriously.
sure, he's raised to be the perfect gentleman, but he knows how to have fun. again keynote, he's charming but not always sincere. so fun is fun.
he's pansexual. he's dated mostly girls, but he's flirted with lots of the guys too. only had one serious rlship but that didn't end too well ( childhood friend turned boyfriend became homophobic prick, also happens to be family friend & strained the family ties with them; his father was not pleased about that )
frequents cafes and likes to drink overpriced coffee
currently a t.a. at sja music institute - rumored to have gotten the post through his mother's connection (half true ngl)
TLDR; he's what you can described as cultured, but he also knows how to losen up.
the only thing he'd ever take seriously is music, and making sure that he doesn't get in trouble that would require his father's intervention.

tl;dr of his timeline: born to a failed actress mother and a wealthy real estate agent who paid good money to keep his mother quiet about their affair > his mom projected her dead dreams of fame onto jaehyun aka he was born and bred for fame from the start > eventually led to moving to sk to pursue a career in kpop > a shortage of income (thanks to his dad cutting off their “allowance”) put his dancing and singing classes on halt for a bit > kept auditioning but somewhat half assing it bc he wasn’t sure being an idol was what he wanted > is now ACTUALLY trying bc his mother is ill and he wants to give her her dream so no more being “selfish” > work at a movie theater, does singing covers on yt, is a mess
personality/quirks: he’s a lot. is very in touch with his emotions in terms of pouring them into his writing (and songwriting specifically) but when it comes to actual people... nope. aka, is not very good at handling or reading others’ feelings. also does dumb things like use his yt channel to find cute people who are interested in him to hook up with :/. not necessarily a complete asshole, but... you know. he’s arrogant and SO moody, but also a child at heart? wasn’t able to fuck around and let loose when he was younger, so he’s doing that now when he REALLY should not be.
other details: jaehyun is definitely better suited for songwriting and producing even though he loves singing, and i think that deep down, he knows that. still really wants to be an idol though, for many (obvious) reasons, though they’re not exactly the best reasons, but he’s working on it. he’s a little restless atm, but still holding it together. he likes doing yt covers, and also enjoys his day job because he’s a film bro. also into photography, but mostly in terms of taking pictures of people he admires. if you broke his heart or vice versa, has definitely written a few songs about you. loves his friends <3 and his haters :rolling_eyes:

Also like–Joohyun has this really BAD case of blushing all the time when someone from the opposite sex talks to her xD, it honestly conceals who she might crush on etc, or like – but its just a usual reaction towards guys.
She’s ambitious, hardworking, extraordinarily determined, but also in a sense desires to be approved for what she does, since she never got it with her parents.
She’d seek out approval from those that she admires (usually seniors), or if someone is great in a particular area, but will never be too explicit or pushy with her desire for approval lol, she usually subtly asks for approval, and whether she gets it or not, joohyun is mostly fine.
She’s a bit sensitive when talking about her siblings, as well as her parents, so pls tread carefully on the topic of family, because its a HUGE hurt space for her since she thought she never lived up to their expectations and is still trying to prove them wrong.

She’s also a very contemplative person behind all that cheer (though she’s usually more shy on first meetings, and only cheerful when she’s gotten to know others a bit more), has a habit of overthinking things sometimes, but has learnt to put all those thoughts into the words for her songs as a form of catharsis
she’s usually very tired after the alternate days that she’s working part time, but some coffee usually brightens her up.
