pipe up.
lmsohye:
starter for @tenlm !
sohye is still getting used to her new schedule - she’s just finished moving into the hana dorms, but most of her stuff is still in boxes. she’s been thrown straight into an evaluation too, which could be kind of fun, if it weren’t for university final assignments looming on the horizon.
but that’s all okay. this is what she signed up for after all.
all that taken into consideration, the offer from ten to meet up for coffee came as a welcome opportunity. sohye feels like she hasn’t seen him in forever, but time seems to be moving slower nowadays. it must have really only been a couple of weeks.
she orders the biggest coffee imaginable, gets it pumped full of sugar free syrups, and settles back across from ten at their table. “i’m good…” sohye is clearly distracted, her knees bouncing impatiently underneath the table. she has to keep an eye on the time even on saturdays now, and it’s no coincidence that their meetup is at a café only a five minute walk from the hana entertainment building, at eight in the morning. “how are you? how’s your schedule these days?”
ten doesn’t have a lot of girl friends, and if he’s being honest he’s not even sure why. people always expect gay men to mostly have girl friends, but ten really does not fit that stereotype - he’s always just got along with guys more. that being said, he does have some female friends, and sohye is one of them. they met during his wild teen time, when he’s be drunk more often than sober. he likes to think he’s more fun to hang out with now that he does more than party.
being friends for so long has it’s perks as well - sohye had seen ten at his worst, so he didn’t have to hide much from her. so, she knew about him being a trainee, since he’d told her while intoxicated around the time he got signed. it wasn’t exactly a secret, but he wasn’t really meant to go around telling everyone and their mother, so thankfully drunk ten had held back from telling many other people.
now, though, it was sohye’s turn to embark on the new, dazzling journey of a trainee.
she seems a little distracted as they sit down, and ten smiles, remembering when he was always checking the clock to make sure he wouldn’t be late. “it’s... the usual. i’ve been enjoying... group things more often these days. y’know, helping people with the dance routines and what not. it reminds me of back in school when i used to help everyone else in dance club because they sucked and looked like limp hot dog sausages flopping around.”
“but how about you? are you settling in okay? relax, i’m not going to let you be late, i’m good at this time-keeping thing. we still have ages before i have to escort you to the building.” he says with a soft laugh - as if sohye needed escorting anywhere, especially by ten.
