THERE IS A FROWN as brow furrows in deep thought as Addison has her hands on her hips, looking at him like some disappointed school teacher as Ben knows he better be real careful about his response. What had he said in the last ten seconds that would make her look at him like this?
He pauses, knowing that he hasn't got much time before she escalated and Ben rubs at the back of his neck.
" -- I... said...that..." he drawls out his words, trying to jog his memory. "... We should -- that I should take you on a shopping spree because you've been working so hard?" It's definitely not what he said, but he's hoping for the plan of distraction to work in his favor.
