Angsty Writing Prompt S30: Mountains Aftermath

Iron Fan had felt numb for the past few days. All her rage and emotions had burned out all at once after hours of trying to get her beloved from under that blasted mountain. Her hands had been bloodied from slamming, digging and clawing.

Everything just seemed too much right now.

Her son’s powers, the death of the Brotherhood, the death of Liu’er Mihou, and finally the unforgivable act her husband’s sworn brother had done. Banishing the bull king under a mountain and leaving his staff there to pin him down.

Iron Fan had done her best to keep face in front of her son’s, but there was so much she could do.

She… she needed help…

A few minutes of silence had passed before rapid footsteps started coming towards her door. Before she could properly react, the doors swung open. Jade Face Princess, gasping frantically, make up slightly smeared, was looking around the room in a panic.

“Tienshan!? Tienshan are you there!?”

Iron Fan visibly relaxed seeing her other partner.

“Jade—”

The princess barely had time to get out the other’s name before the fox practically tackled her to the ground. Frantic fox squeaks sounded off the more the princess rambled. “I heard what happened to our husband and came back as soon as I could! I knew I shouldn’t have gone on that trip! We could have waited for that deal! I should have been by his side! By your side! My gem I am so sorry to have failed you!”

Iron Fan simply hugged her wife tightly as sob threaten to escape her throat. The fox princess gently rocked her back and forth, tucking the ex-celestials head under her chin.

“Cry if you need to… if you need to break, do it now… I’ll be here to pick everything up.”

The sobs were almost there.

“I’ve got you.”

The sob that broke Iron Fan’s throat resonated in their shared room. Jade Face simply held her; it was the only thing she could do.

They needed to get these emotions out now.

For the sake of their kingdoms.

For the sake’s of their sons.

They needed to be strong and find a way to get their husband back.

In a nutshell...

Bull Family adults all pointing at each other. DBK: YOU HAVE A DAUGHTER!? TIC: YOU HAVE A SON! DBK: You met Red Son already! TIC: I was mentioning to JFP! JFP: How come you're the one who ended up having a daughter!? Didn't you bully the Kingdom of Women before-- TIC: That was before Buddy! PIF: You named her Buddy? TIC: it is a fine name for her! DBK: Why didn't you tell me I had a niece!? TIC: You never asked! In the background... Wukong is making happy monkey noises because he has more nephews and an extra niece! A niece who just gave him a bunch of peach blossoms!

Nutshell summary on LMK what if JFP, TIC, and with their respective kid buddies lived in the same universe?

In a nutshell...

Much like how TIC isn't close with his brother or rest of the family, he isn't close with JFP either.

He doesn't even know that she has a kid.

The best thing he can do is just keep to himself. tIC never needed his family before and was doing just fine! All the family he wants is his little girl.

JFP has heard of rumors of TIC living with someone, but doesn't look into it. She has more important and pressing things to worry about than some family gossip.

Nutshell summary: What are reactions of LMK JFP and Fox son buddy when they 1st read about the JTTW and her role in it (aka JFP as 2nd wife/concubine of DBK) ?

If JFP is mad (on a scale from 1 to almost murderous that she wants to find the author of JTTW), how would her Son and the Bull family (can be only DBK, PIF, & Red son. You can also add Bull kids buddies if you like) handle her anger because of her finding out her role in JTTW?

In a nutshell...

A younger version of Jade would have been furious.

Now?

Jade just laughs and brushes it off. Why would she be bothered by mortal stories? If they want to believe in those silly stories, then let them. She has more important things to worry and do.

It becomes a bit of a joke between PIF, and DBK that she would 'steal' either one of them away or jokingly ask to join their relationship. Something that Buddy and Red Son were momentarily horrified before realizing it was a joke.

Her son is a bit iffy about the interpretation of his mother and uncle.

He will fight anyone who suggests that his mother and uncle had an affiair as will Red Son.

JFP and PIF are drinking tea. The fox is using her newest shade of red nail polish on her sister in law. Toddler Buddy: "Momma! Momma!" Toddler Red Son: "Don't listen to him!" PIF: "Children. One at a time." Toddler Buddy: "Red Son stole my paint!" Toddler Red Son: "Those were my paints!" Toddler Buddy: "They were not!" JFP: "Now darlings, there's no need to shout. There was plenty of paints when I left you two in the play room, do you two need more?" The toddlers pause before nodding. She smiles. JFP: "See. A little talking can go a long way. But I need you too to apologize to each other before I can get more paints." Red Son and Buddy: "Sorry." The fox pats both of them on the head. JFP: "Excellent darlings. Now be good to Iron Fan and I'll go see about that paint."
