Campanula dress by Anna Hermann Sørensen

Yarnsmiths cotton DK in sienna red with 3mm needles

Started January 2026, finished April 2026

I'm so proud of this one!!! It took 4 months of monogamous knitting and I'm so excited to start working on smaller, shorter term projects.

The pattern was excellent, but it came out a bit big for me because I misread the pattern when I was knitting the bodice (I accidentally made it one size too big :( )

The yarn is super smooth and pretty nice to knit with but it pills horrifically - I have tiny bits of red yarn all over my sofa. I also overbought massively and have seven balls left (what should I make out of it?)

My favourite things knitwear sweater NO. 29

Drops Nepal in dark ivy (8921), with 4mm needles

Started September 2025, finished December 2025

This was meant to be my birthday jumper, but my birthday is in November... I definitely can't knit to a deadline

I liked learning how to cable, but this definitely isn't perfect - I find the yarn a little bit too scratchy to wear next to the skin of my neck and the arms are kinda short. However, I forgive all its problems because it's so warm and I love the colour!

Stella top by Svetlana Volkova

Unknown yarn from stash (I think it might be King Cole Cottonsmooth DK) with 3.5mm needles

Started April 2026, finished June 2026

I love this project and want to make it in every colour!! This type of tank top feels like a real wardrobe basic for me, and I really like the way that the stella top came out

Because I made this during exam season (boo :(( ), it felt like it took a while - not helped by how I got a wrist injury from typing too much halfway through the body

I thought I wouldn't like the bottom up construction / would find it difficult to fit, but turns out doing a gauge swatch and tonnes of maths make sure that it came out the perfect length <3

Doing this project immediately after the campanula dress means I'm so ready to move on from mixed rib now

Last project of 2025!

I'm so basic socks by Summer Lee

Rico 4ply sock yarn with 2.25mm needles

These took me about 2 and a half weeks (although I was travelling up to Newcastle during that time so got lots of knitting time). Finished them on the 23rd, just in time for Christmas acquisitions!

Learnt magic loop for this project, which was difficult at first but pretty easy to get my hands around. I still prefer shorties though. Also learnt longtail cast on which I love with my whole heart
