HARK ! A TASK !
Now that the revived have gotten the chance to become familiar with the cobblestone streets and foggy heights of Purgatory, it’s only natural they seek the essentials--a piece of familiarity in a world of strange-goings-on.
TASK I: Living Arrangements
If you’re moving or die, it’s important to seek out a place to settle down and call your own. In Purgatory, there are a variety of options for when the unexpected drop in:
Abandoned homes, ranging from good shape, to desperate need of repair. It appears that these dwellings were once inhabited. Upon entry, you’ll find plates half full on the table, clothing strewn this way and that, perhaps a few toys and trinkets covered in dust.
Alice B. Toklas’ Bed & Breakfast is host to dozens of cozy rooms, equip with a bed, a writing desk, and plenty of intellectual stimulation. In return for rent every month, you get your own room, full advantage of the living space, and a hot meal every morning. But be wary. The floorboards are known to creak in the night, and some doors seem to slam of their own accord.
Living above a business is quite a common practice for those who take an entrepreneurial route. You may even rent from the business owner themselves, if they don’t occupy the space. Be wary of who you choose, however. It may do more than rattle the bones if you rent a room from the Shelley’s.
Building your own home is a viable option, as there is plenty of lumber for cutting and bountiful glass for windows. However, it isn’t all sugar and buttercream, building an entire house. One must know how, after all. Not all of us are built for such a grand undertaking. However, one such person[s] can be hired for the task. Just make sure you have somewhere to stay in the meantime.
YOUR TASK IS--what are your muse’s living arrangements? Do they live with a significant other, a friend? Do they rent, or own? What does it look like? What makes it their own?
This can be done any way you choose, whether it be an aesthetic board, a written description, or even both! What’s in a person’s home can say a lot about them, whether that be pleasant, or unpleasant.
With that said, go forth ! Tag your tasks with lnd.task, and give this a like once you’ve read it!
