Can we talk about how much Artemis is a coward and sucks in her role???
Let’s go over her story so far.
1. She got bad vibes from Apollo at the coronation and gained the epithet “protector of women”.
2. She finally learns Persephone was assaulted by Apollo and that her brother is a predator.
3. She learned Daphne was almost killed by Apollo after trying to expose this information.
4. When she’s finally able to confront him, Apollo just goes dead silent and refuses to talk at all.
Now cut back to this episode. Despite knowing Apollo better than anyone AND being one of the only female olympians at the meeting, Artemis chooses not to go at all. Artemis is supposed to be a warrior! A badass protector of women and girls. She’s also the princess of Olympus!!! She’s literally on equal footing as Apollo for claim to the throne. By not going to that meeting she gave her voice and power away. She chose the easy and comfortable way out instead of confronting her abusive brother. And to add insult to injury, instead of sending another woman to fill her position she sent Hermes. The comic relief alternative love interest for the victim of her brother. Artemis does nothing to earn her title and it doesn’t seem like she wants to even help her friend Persephone at all.
Yes I know that Lore Olympus is pretty bad, yes I know that the story's message is problematic and that the protagonists are terrible
But Gosh! I loves this characters

I haven’t read the last chapters yet, but Lore Olympus has ended and I’m sad so I’m going to just drop off the art from some of my TikToks here and pray that the books don’t go up in price before I finish off my collection.
Okay, I actually really liked Selene going "Don't mess with the moon asshole!" Reminds me of the one chapter a ways back when Artemis is thinking about being Apollo's twin and no matter how glorious or strong she is, she can never compete with Apollo and she goes "And what is the moon in the presence of the sun?" I don't know if the callback was intentional, but I like it.
