I kinda wanna see Hades facing his father to perhaps protect Persephone or something.
Not to put him through more trauma (I'm so sorry, baby boy; you know I'd take you over Ares any day), but to have him beat his past - and also to look sexy as he reaches his power or fights, while being powered by love.
Hades’ disappointments, his feelings and why he associates his feelings with the color RED. 🚨❤️👹👺 κόκκινο by —thynovel
October 9th - Minthe cosplay/edit
She didn’t made this analysis for her event, still was needed to point out and consider an open mind on symbolism towards red. Especially when it connect to a character that most of the fandom have conflicted feelings towards *coughs* Minthe.
*Note that it was deleted afterwards, but chose to share my reaction about her old analysis.
The Titan King & God of Destructive Time that overthrew The God Ouranos (possibly his father) with the help of his fellow Titans. Including Gaia, who made the sickle for the 5th Titan to wield. She set up this treachery to free the Cyclopes & Hekatonkheires that she sees as her own children. Ouranos locked them away in the belly of Gaia because he was disgusted by their appearance. After the coup d'état, Cronus was elected to be the Titans’ ruler, then chose Rhea to be his Queen to rule by his side. His rule won’t last forever, when Cronus didn’t fulfill the promise he made to Gaia to free the Cyclopes & Hekatonkheires, since he doesn’t want any more rivals. Hearing his treachery, Gaia cursed the 5th Titan with a prophecy: “As you have overthrow your father, so shall your child overthrow you!”.
In episode 25, revealed into Hades’ past, his PTSD, and his former name “Aidoneus”. When he was young, Rhea took care of her 1st born with great care and love for her son. For she encouraged her son to use his recently developed abilities to generate beautiful gems with his bare hands and remarked how smart he can be when it comes to properly naming things he created. His birthday came up, Hades noted that he lived up 2190 days (6 years) after Rhea pointed out to Helios that he travels around the Earth each day and kept doing it for 365 days when young Hades turned five. When the Titan Queen asked her son what he want for his birthday, he hesitates until his father called out to his mother’s name. For Hades’ birthday was ruined on that dreadful day when his father came in.
Rhea told her son to hide since they can’t outrun Cronus, his father. Rhea did whatever she could to distract Cronus from swallowing their son. Her husband insisted her to give Aidoneus to him and Rhea told Cronus she wants to keep him. The Titan King told his Queen that motherhood made her weak and cried that he shouldn’t do this. Cronus stated to Rhea on Gaia’s prophecy with such concern of their existence: “If I let him live, he could destroy us”. Stating to his wife he gave too much time with her son as it is and she lied about her son’s whereabouts. Cronus acknowledges on Rhea being a terrible liar and found his son, he grabbed Aidoneus and her son called to mother to save him, then was swallowed. As his father swallowed him, young Hades struggled to get out, then gave up, curled up into a ball, and cried himself to sleep. Afterwards, Hades woke up from that nightmare with tears in his eyes.
What his father did to was so cruel enough to ruin his life forever, even Hades’ only fear is becoming his father. It was seen in Episode 71 when dreaming about his father again & Episode 76 when Minthe compared Hades to his father with such confliction in herself. The scars that the overthrown Titan King did to his son will stick with him for eternity, but one day, will be overcome.
Cronus swallowing Hades in Lore Olympus: Episode 25
October 21st - Saddest LO moment
Hades’ father stripped away his childhood by swallowing him in his 6th birthday. After 13 years gone by, he was freed by his youngest brother Zeus that escaped that fate in their father’s stomach as well as Poseidon. His younger brother avoided being devoured by disguising himself as a horse through shapeshift and hid within a flock for many years. When Hades got out, he was covered in scars and was in great pain than he already is. In episode 78, Metis advised her daughter Hera to tend to Hades injuries and she’s needed to set an example for her other sisters. When the Titan War ended, Hades is given the Underworld to rule, still felt that he didn't overcome what happened to him. He never had the chance to fully experience his childhood and grow properly. Now that he’s King, Hades doesn’t have the time to be himself when given this responsibility. It effects his mental stability and increases the habit of isolation in every chance Hades gets. Conquering what happened to him is no easy task, he has to find balance by understanding his feelings to see things clearly. The Underworld’s King does get medical help through therapy, still needs to self-reflect in a place where he’s fully composed. Being honest about how bad that experience makes him feel, in order to move on in his life.
