I complain about the aesthetics of each of the Lost Cities cuz I’m bored
Eternalia: The multi-colored sparkly buildings bring to mind a gaudy an over opulent Baroque concerto. Trying to take it all in is probably like hitting play on all your liked songs and having to jump between The Beatles and Cardi B.
Mysterium: It seems normal until you think about how Problematic™ it is that all of the Talentless and working class citizens basically work in buildings that look like Soviet Block Housing.
Atlantis: Going to Atlantis is probably like walking down 5th Avenue and being like “I can’t spend $10,000 on a pair of high heels.” Also this is what happens when we fight global warming by building sea walls.
Gildingham: I get that using gold is supposed to be symbolic, but building your house out of a soft metal of purpose seems really dumb imo. But I honestly just imagine this as the El Dorado set from that Dora movie but with goblins.
Loamnore: Dwarves live in isolated caves surrounded by precious gems. I respect the hell out of that. But going to get groceries every week must be a pain.
Ravagog: So there are like two parts to this city: the nice part and the bad part. The nice part is pretty normal, save for all the state military parades Dimitar probably has. The bad part is where the economically disadvantaged work in factories until they literally collapse. This feels like the beginning of a Marxist critique on society.
