Oh shit how about a red sea aom with Lobco. She joins the red sea with Sal after Lobco rejects her and comes back for Lobco eventually

in all honesty, i don’t believe aom’s jealousy would be considered volatile/dangerous enough that she could be corrupted by the red sea that easily, since she’s shown to be too good-hearted for that. it was different with fukami, since he was bottling up all his hostile feelings and even sal said he’s just like them, thus making it easier to take advantage of his jealousy towards samekichi.

that being said, in an alternate scenario where aom’s situation was just a little more similar to fukami’s…

aom’s first initial feelings of being rejected is mainly just slight disappointment, but wouldn’t hold it against lobco. but then she finds out the reason for having her love being cast aside when she sees her best friend talking to that witch she works for; chlomaki. she’s known and been friends with lobco for so long since childhood, and sees the signs by the way she acts around the witch too. the way she sometimes stammers over her words and blushes when chlomaki gets a little too close, the way she keeps smoothing out her skirt in bashfulness, despite it already being wrinkleless.

aom should feel happy for her friend that she found someone whom she feels deeply for… but she just doesn’t. she sees how chlomaki teases and pushes her around relentlessly, and how impatient she is with her; a complete stark contrast to lobco. aom really doesn’t like that because she knows she hasn’t ever treated her this way and wouldn’t ever. despite that, she keeps her doubts and envy to herself.

when sal happens to come across and see her, he notices all the signs immediately. he knows how it feels and seizes the opportunity.

whereas for fukami, sal might’ve used his envy directly against him, urging him to act on his violent impulses - with aom, he lures her in with sweet words of deceit. how he’ll be able to change her in such a way that lobco will never look at anyone else besides her ever again, how being with someone else will put her dearest friend in danger and how much safer she’d be with aom.

lobco notices she hasn’t seen aom in a while, which makes her quite worried, hoping that she hadn’t hurt her friend too much by not reciprocating her feelings. once the red-sea takes over, it’s when she finally finds her, but quickly comes to realize something is horribly, horribly wrong just by looking at her.

“lobco... i’m glAd i founD you aGain...”

“aom…? what’s going on? you’re… you’re one of them?! how?! i don’t understand, you wouldn’t go to them willingly! what have they done to--!”

aom doesn’t react to any of lobco’s panicked inquires, instead gently grabs ahold of her wrists and looks at her with an expression that could almost be mistaken for love.

“i can treaT you better than that wiTch can, lobco… just givE me a chance. i didn’t know it bOthered me to see you in pain in so much before, but sAl… he… he made me see, fiNallY.”

lobaom headcanons

lobco is taller (not by much tho) so she always holds the umbrella for aom when it’s raining

aom may be shorter but she is the big spoon anyways

lobco has. seen enough crap from chlomaki and roc and the rest of the world so she’s always the stoic one during horror movies and automatically makes a move to protectively hug aom before she can get scared

their first kiss was at a diner! they decided to split a milkshake and the waitress forgot to bring them both straws, so aom said lobco could drink w/ the straw. fhfgh for a moment lobco was like “but shes not gonna get to drink any :(” and then smooch. very short but very sweet

every time aom gets sick lobco goes into doctor mode - she will run over to her gf’s house at the speed of light to give her soup and ice cream and pile blankets on her and check her temperature. even if she gets sick she insists on cuddling w/ aom until the latter is comfortable

aom likes to help lobco a lot with her photographing! sometimes she’ll sit on lobco’s shoulders to take pictures since she wants to practice too, but for the most part she suggests things lobco can take photos of and helps organize her pictures.

and after they’re done taking photos for the day they always stop by a little ice cream parlor to split a sundae

bc cherryblod knows his daughter very well the first time she introduced her girlfriend to him and doloz his first question was “when’s the wedding?” and aom choked on her drink.

don’t worry. aom is an absolute thumbs up for him. he actually helps lobco plan the wedding when they get around to it.

in a modern au their favorite anime to watch together is probably hidamari sketch and their favorites are hiro and sae bc those two remind them of each other.
