I got second place at a local Tekken 8 bracket earlier this month! 💪🥹🤌🥈
I went 4-2!!! It was so fun! My adrenaline was pumping and i could feel the crowd was on my side! I felt like the silly-yet-cool underdog playing as the only Jack-8.
In my first match i played against a player named Dumple, a new player to the barcade we play at who used Heihachi. I won 2-1!
In my second match i played my old highschool buddy Michael Yells who the best Claudio I've ever known. They normally beat me, but in an upset i won 2-0! During this match i used a power-crush move to armor through a projectile in an interaction we'd both never seen!
In my third match i played against Firebird, a proud Feng player who i beat 2-1.
Afterwards was the fourth match, Winners Finals, and i fought against the soon-to-be champion, Acerbelli, who played Shaheen incredibly well. I lost 0-2 and was placed into Losers finals, but it was still a lot of fun.
For the fifth fight i fought Rusty Bucket, another Heihachi player that consistently used electric/just-frame inputs. For the last game against Rusty Bucket i used a unique grab that allows me to guarantee a follow-up attack to clinch the win!!! I beat them 3-0 and during this match there was a lot of laughs and cheering!!
Finally, during Grand Finals, i played against Acerbelli again. They were 5-0 to my 4-1 at this point. During this fight there were plenty of yelling and hype! I did a full-stage diving attack during one round, that's over 100 frames negative, and actually got a kill using it! But ultimately they got around my grab moves, power-crush, and punished me low often... It was a good game and they beat me fair n square.
I really enjoy learning and playing this game! I can't wait to play more with my friends!!! Good games y'all!
