He is the cold and pestilence. He is the blue the body turns when it is found under the snow. He is the suffering of winter. He is the first devil and rules the first season of the year. He brings with him the flu, covid-19, and many other seasonal illnesses. His messengers are the rat and the blue jay. His song is the honk of the geese as they try to flee him. He is the chill upon you as the wind blows, the coolness of peppermint and candy canes in your home. He is there when the power goes out, when the fireplace dims, and as the snow thickens. He is the first devil cast from heaven. Left alone in the cold of earth. He is Lucifer. He is Jack Frost. And he is here.
