drove home to see black smoke billowing across the road and over the hill.  apparently a ‘four-alarm grass fire has spread to a number of local structures’.  this is ridiculous you know.  it’s mud-and-rain season here, except the weather hasn’t brought much rain OR mud.  everything’s been getting progressively more and more out of wack the past few years.  our region isn’t supposed to be dry until late June.
