'#Piercing #Scream - #ANarrative' About a month ago, while going to the #supermarket at #night, I walked to a #girl sitting on the steps of the #terminal's #pedestrian entrance. She was #SpeechImpaired & tried to #communicate. She #screamed - so #loud & #shocking! I gave her all the #change I had & still felt it was #NotEnough. By the time I got back from the supermarket, I saw some #LocalOfficials basically kicking her out. I gave her even more #money in front of them, just to tell them #FuckYou! In #BlackAfrica, the #DeafAndDumb are by and large #poor, as are many with #disabilities. There is no #healthcare that #provides for #people with #SpecialNeeds. So they're #marginalized & left to #beg - while treated like the #ScumOfTheEarth. It's #heartbreaking. I hope I see that #BeautifulGirl again.
