Alice: are we ever gonna talk about the other night?

Alice honestly thought it would have taken at least two weeks of being back home for her entire past to catch up with her. It seemed like destiny was around every corner, however, trying to pull one over her. It was a good thing this particular corner didn't taste like regret — it was bittersweet, of course, but there was no way she could summarize all they lived with just one goodbye. She didn't expect to run into Lochlan, but she was glad all the same. "If it isn't my three-times fiancé, father of two of my secret babies, secret affair and the reason I left Hollywood!" She smiled, listing probably half of the ridiculous headlines that were thrown their way throughout their careers. Then, as it was often the case when it came to Lochlan, she pulled him into a fierce hug. There were few things that felt as good as being embraced by him. "I've missed you!"
Do you have any regrets? If so, what would you change about them?
“Oh, we ain’t holdin’ back now, are we, handsome?” Marley laughed, shaking her head as she brought her drink up to her lips, though hesitated in taking a sip. “I think life’s too short to have regrets.” Though, she supposed that didn’t mean that she didn’t have any. There was one major one that came to mind, the only boy she’d ever loved being at the center of it, and the way she’d left him in the dust without so much as a look back. She didn’t regret leaving, still to this day stands by the fact that she needed to in order to spare them both from a life of settling...but the way she’d taken off in the middle of the night? Slipped from his arms and packed as fast as she could, least he woke up and tried to stop her, like he’d given her a reason to run, to warrant such a cruel surprise for him come morning when he realized she was gone? Glass raising to her lips as she knocked her drink back, Marley shook her head, as if to rid both the thought and the burn of the alcohol in her throat. “Next round’s on me.”
