Lapras: W-Well, there are some secrets and gossip that even I cant blend out, perhaps my own curiosity or interest if it concerns the Locals or the isle overall.

Lapras: The Locals worry about a dangerous aura that has been lingering in the deep woods. They cant figure out what it is, i might have a hunch however. Oh, and a cloaked being started to circle around me. That.. I still have to mull it over. It sure is annoying not seeing it.

Lock, what's the strangest rumor you've heard about the isle so far?

Lapras: It has made its rounds that there is a Mystery Dungeon by the Lake Areal. Despite humans already explored every nook and cranny of this isle, certain Pokémon can enter the Dungeon without the humans noticing.

Lapras: One of our dear Administrators was an Dungeon Explorer ~ Might as well ask them.

Lock: But yes, there is a way. Some Psychic and Dark types have some sort of a Mind Block where as I can't communicate with them. Some per choice, some per instinct. I have come to see a few items such as amulets or cloaks hindering my telepathy too.

Lock: As of why.. Some Pokémon like their privacy. I only communicate with the Pokemon of choice, allowing me to, I dont intrude if its not of my interest. And also, of course, if there is someone hiding ~

(asktheisle) Nat approaches Lock with a quizzical head tilt, but none the less curious and amicable.

"I know communication between humans and pokemon can vary, sometimes even on a case by case type of thing. How do you and Francis do so?"

Lock: "As long as they stay in my radius or not blocking my telepathy, I am able to transmit messages to others and between pokemon."

Lock: Indigo is the only one that learned the human language by himself, so he doesnt rely on me like the others.

Lock: But of course, even i need some breaks and sleep so there are short spans of time where i dont use my ability. Depending on the situation, I can communicate for weeks if its necessary.

Francis: Yeah, there is something troubling me but I cant wrap my head around it..

Lock: Oh my, want to talk about it, hun?

Lock: One thing at the time, dear..

Francis: Okay okay sorry hehehe.. There were many Pokemons from other places asking about my job and the isle. It made me happy how they all showed their interest! And then there was the book.. Did you know this isle had a story?

Lock: Yes. But only from rumors of Locals. If they are true is a different story. Do you have a hunch?

Francis: I dunno. We did find a map in an egg so it makes me wonder. And restless.. The others filled me in on the details when i arrived and they were all ready for an exploration! I thought we already knew everything of this isle. Guess not..

Lock: You sound discouraged..

Francis: Well, I dont want to fail my job.. with everything going on. It has been tough lately..

Lock: Hmmm, I'm sure the others have it under control. Besides, you havent told me about the guy yet.

Francis flinched to Lock's sudden interest. "W-well, it was nothing special- We passed each other, turned around and greeted at the same time. Well, he seemed kinda pissed and walked off again, so i dont know what i did ^^" "

Lock: Interesting. Do you know him?

Francis: Not a clue! I have been trying to remember every person the past three years and not ONE looks like him.

Lock: And yet you cant sleep.

Francis: LOCK, ITS NOT WHAT YOU THINK-

Lock chuckles lightly "I am sorry Francis, I didn't want to tease you."

Francis: It's alright! I missed talking to you about boys hahah and how soothing it can be being around you.. Thank you Lock, for being here.

Lock: Likewise, honey. Have sweet dreams.

Francis: You too!

Francis drives off to the Star House. While the drive, she looks up to the sky, melancholicaly starring down the stars. She comes to an halt.

Oh, how I envy the Tanabata Stars
