Today was not going how Eugene had planned, he was supposed to steal the crown, make a clean get away, and be done with it.
But now the was on the run, crown in hand.
Stumbling into a glen, Eugene saw a tower piercing the sky and rushed to climb it, pulling himself up over the open windowsill and into the tower.
"Alone at last," Eugene sighed as he opened his satchel to look at his ill gotten gain, before there was pain and then darkness.
