hi! so this is like. an undertale au thing?? i’m mostly gonna do it with like traditional/paper art so bare with me ok but:) @combustion-not-witch @the-gnomish-bastard @lixorloveslicorice could you guys help me start?
her backstory is as follows:
* Lockette Key was eight when she fell down. She had been trying to impress some kids at school, balancing on one foot with another hanging off towards the cliff. They didn’t mean to push her real hard. Just mess with her a little. But she never had the best coordination, did she? She had always heard about the War in school, of course, but she never really believed it. Textbooks get stuff wrong sometimes, and there was like absolutely no way magic was real. And people only used the whole Mount Ebott story to make kids behave. But when she saw the.. things.. down there. She knew it wasn’t a dream. They were weirdly nice, though. Not like what they said in school. She had to leave the Ruins eventually, but she didn’t really want to leave by the time she got to the Castle. Instead, she asked Mr Dreemurr for a recommendation to be a Royal Guard. And she got it. Undyne liked her style- which was flailing with style- somehow. Reminded her of Papyrus, I guess. And like Papyrus, she didn’t get taken that seriously. So she was stationed with the Skelebros. It did help a lot, she couldn’t handle the heat of anywhere else. Even Waterfall was too much for her, the humidity was awful. She didn’t really have anywhere to stay, and she didn’t want to bother the bros(they only had two rooms and she needed her own, but didn’t want to be rude about it). So, Grillbz took her in. She was Sans’ friend, and a regular at that point. Undyne might’ve bruised her pride asking on her own for Grillby to let Lockette around, but that’s neither here nor there. Papyrus was insanely thankful to both of them. Even ordered a side of fries once to show it. She made her own sword and shield, and Undyne taught her a bit of magic. Somehow. Alphys had to come down to Snowdin with Undyne at one point because Lockette wanted desperately to meet her, but like. Heat. They bonded over anime, resulting in a TON of calls and facetiming so they could watch Mew Mew together. Toriel used to let Lockette back in sometimes, actually. And.. she never told anyone, but there were other humans before Frisk too. She had to wear red when she would go ‘visit Toriel.’ Had to make sure she could wipe off her sword without getting any stains. She wouldn’t let any new people put her family in danger.
