how do you create the ideas for your comics? follow up: how do you plan them out? is there even a plan it out phase or do you hust wing it?

usually just getting attached to random tropes I like and making hypothetical scenarios to myself about them! Like LoD was when I was really into Pet Sematary, and I wanted to play with the idea of someone doing anything to keep someone they love alive! Things just started falling into place once I got that!

And for planning…… im not the person to take advice from on this PLEASE it took me well over a year into this comic to even write an outline, and when I tried explaining the plot to my friends I kept forgetting important details and having to go back and add on-

I am not a very good planning person… im just lazy and prefer to just wing it. Even with scripting tbh the main reason I haven’t worked on pages besides hyperfixation is that I don’t have a script for the next page I have to work on… I don’t want to script it HELP I script everything SUPER last second before the scene shows up, as i like to go over them over and over again in my head for fun, which causes me to forget important details a lot lol BUT here’s the progress images for Chapter 11 of LoD!

First of all, just wanna say I absolutely adore your art and comics, they've been huge inspiration for me to start working on art projects myself :D

Just wanted to ask will Quetzal and Chicken's relationship be explored upon more..? Can we please at least have one (semi)healthy happy qeer couple here

Also I really do side with Quetzal, which may be very wrong on my part, but if so props on you he's a very interesting character imo

yes the development of Chicken and Quetzal's relationship is very important to Quetzal's arc! whether that's a good thing or not is up to you to guess <3 Although it is very difficult to have a healthy queer relationship when all. relationships I write are unhealthy. HELP but Chicken/Quetz have a better one than most characters I have, so points for that But originally before he had a design or anything, Chicken was not an important character at all, and was just a cat made to have a consistent face in Quetzal's group, but Chicken has definitelyyyy made his way up in importance lol
