Last year, we installed 2 new furnaces in the #lodgefoundry, each capable of melting up to 10 tons of iron. The lid of the furnace in the foreground is open while an employee slags the iron to remove impurities. #americanmanufacturing #lodgecastiron

A scene from our finishing department: these skillets have just emerged from the seasoning process and are heading to our packing line to be inspected. If they pass our quality standards, they will be labeled and packaged.
