9. What’s something people have tried to force you to do?
In my life, many people have tried to get me to engage in “recreational substances” despite my insistence that I cannot have alcohol because of the medications that I take and would simply prefer not to smoke. I get called a buzzkill a lot because I get pissed the more I am pressured.
10. How do you spend your free time?
I spend my free time watching cartoons and anime, reading, playing video games (Pokemon), writing, Tumblring, and other sedentary activities.
13. What is the most insulting thing anyone has said to you?
Over the years, people have said many horrible things to me. I have been insulted for everything from my politics, to my looks, to my sexual orientation. I have been called: “dyke” “fake lesbian” “ugly” “bitch” and of course, “cunt” but the most upsetting thing I have ever been told is that I am faking my illnesses.
Unfortunately, I have heard the last one more than once and not only from students but teachers as well. Many people feel because they have not heard of my (admittedly rare) illnesses and cannot see them I am not “really” disabled and therefore am faking it for attention and sympathy. Nothing is more upsetting or offensive.
