I ordered this back in December and finally, my copy of Log+Log has arrived!!!
The first thing I did is copy everything to my laptop. I mean, in case the CD broke or something :’D
Anyway, on to content. Basically, it’s a compilation of HaruAki’s works (not limited to VNI) from Imitation Black until... Honestly I’m not too sure. From my own memory, it has everything except for Shoot on Tokyo!, Licht, and The Last Supper (practically the songs that come after the “hiatus”). Non-VNI songs like Fantasy of Lolite and infinity identity are also there, but I guess they’re not as thorough as the VNI ones. That being said, the PVs for these songs don’t use as many illustrations as the VNI ones in the first place, so I guess that’s one reason.
Aside from what I have stated, Log+Log also contains sketches of the illustrations made for the VNI calendar (2012), Rakugaki and Dojin papers, CD jackets (Vocaloid and Utaite), and an assortment of other illustrations HaruAki made in her free time... I guess? At the very least, I’m not sure what these illustrations are used for.
Oh! There are also some comics inside. There are three in total: おにいちゃんのほん, 熱暴走のほん, and RinLenMagic@のほん. I’m not sure what they’re about since I can’t read Japanese, so yeah :’( If anyone’s willing to translate, I can provide the files though.
All in all, it has a total of 653 files xDD It cost me around 250k (approx. 22USD-ish), but that already includes shipping to my country (Indonesia). So if shipping from Japan to your country is cheaper than mine, it’ll cost even less.
As an end note, for the amount of content it has, I say it’s really worth it! And for those who’s wondering, there’s very minimal “repeat content” from Medley++. IB, Fate Rebirth, and Setsugetsuka is merged into one folder, so they do not go into detail with those songs - I guess since they already covered them in Medley++.

QUESTION: I wonder if you could help me with a concept. For the past month I’ve been trying to learn the slide rule. Haven’t touched one in almost 45 years probably, but it’s fun to relearn it all. I’ve got several rules, and am working not with a K&E 4080-3 log log trig rule using the KE manual. (I’ve become quite hooked on this, even joined the Oughtred society!) I’m on the log log scales now. This rule has LL1, 2, and 3 and LL01, LL02, LL03. I’m doing pretty well figuring it out, but one portion of the manual (I’m determined to get through it and do every problem) has me confused after staring at it for two days. The author is trying to get us to visualize the LL scales laid out end to end, with three LL scales attached, and directly opposite them the three LL0 scales strung end to end, and between them a long C scale. So far so good. Here’s a copy of the offending page. I am lost as to why the example he gives would require 4 hypothetical end-to-end C scales rather than three. Can you perhaps give me a clue as to what he’s getting at? I’m also confused about the statement relating to the 4 hypothetical C scale coverage, from.1 to 1, 1 to 10, 10 to 100, and 100 to 1000. Why? Thank you very much.
ANSWER: I will try to answer your question to the best of my ability! The main concept of LL scales is that they aren't "cyclical." (for lack of a better term). The regular scales of a slide rule are "cyclical" in that if you were to extend them, they would basically form a repetitive scale. This is one of the amazing properties of the logarithm. So you can get a lot done without multiple log scales. For example, you don't need C, C2, C3 etc. A simple C scale will do. However Log-Log scales don't have that property. As a result, you actually need a very long slide rule to have a usable Log-Log scale. And the way of making a long scale short, is to break it down into pieces. On my Pickett N3, there are four scales, and they allow calculations up to about 20,000. Also, take a look at the following link on my site: http://www.antiquark.com/sliderule/sim/sr-calcs-by-example.html#mozTocId398379 It explains how to use LL scales, and the technique needed to switch to other scales. Switching scales is based on a property of exponents. I myself have found that running through examples, gives an intuitive understanding of slide rule operations.

Lol I got to the office pretty late already but it was okay bec the ride was really smooth and coool (slight drizzle + aircon YaSS)
The whole ride to Sto. Domingo was so picturesque. Mayon was naked and the volcano was just openly in there waiting to be photographed. I was really regretting the whole ride bec I didn’t bring my camera. I managed to take some photos using my phone tho lol.
When I got to the office my groupmates were already there and we immediately started working on the finalization of the paper as we’re due to submit it the afternoon. kageyamark and I did the graphics for the UI which were really tiring but fulfilling. buhay4thyear did the Individual Tasks sheet. We spent the whole morning doing these and then had a sumptuous lunch of Corned beef and Fried Potatoes at buhay4thyear ‘s house. AHH HOW MUCH I MISSED THOSE MEALS AND HOW MUCH THEY’RE SO MUCH MUCH MUCHH BETTER THAN THE HORRIBLE AND PRICEY MEALS IN THE CAFETERIAS THERE.
We finished the layouts and design by around 3pm and then went out to have all the papers printed. Afterwhich, we ate Log-log Mami which was really spicy but maan was it really good sjdflksdjsdl !! It’s the only eatery in there so far that’s been satisfactory for me tbh.
wELP after eating we then hurried to BU and submitted the papers to Sir Sy and then settled the papers we still lacked for Mam Lany. We spent the rest of our stay in BU worrying about Friday and thinking about what stuff to serve as snacks for our panelists. FRIDAY IS FAST APPROACHING!!! Tomorrow we’re going to completely rehearse on the presentation so hopefully it’ll be as productive as today. GOD BLESS US !!
dream log: my older sister was kate moss and we had had an incestuous past which brought up mixed but mostly hostile emotions in the present. we got in a tussle in my kitchen and somehow my left eyeball fell out and became miniature and kind of fell apart into like six pieces. i ran down into my bedroom and tried to hide the fact that this had happened from my dad because i was frustrated and embarrassed that my face kept falling apart for various reasons. dad found out anyway though and was all "oh, no problem, my friend is a doctor he'll fix you right up." a caricature of a doctor came into my room and popped it back into the little socket but suddenly i was on a field trip in a meadow with a huge ice cave in the middle, which we wandered into. the lighting was dark cyan and everything was cold and clear and crystaline. the middle of the cave had a large naturally occurring pool in it that most of the people i was with jumped into but i felt i couldn't because my eye was still healing and it was against the rules of the field trip.... breakfast log: thick slice of roasted pumpkin seed bread with hummus, poached egg, grated cheddar and sriracha on top. another bread with crunchy peanut butter and honey. half an avocado. large bowl of olympus 9.5 fatty coconut yoghurt and a big glass of wata with all tha vitaminzzz
blog log: currently blogging on my blog as i blog about blogging
