Reader being upset that their family disowned them for marrying and adopting a child with Zoe.
“Y/N, I know you’re upset, and I am totally here for you…”Zoe cupped her hand to your face “But remember, we have the chance to make our own family. And hopefully, if we do it all right, Logan will want to come back to us, and we’ll welcome them with open arms.”
God’s mercy means we don’t receive the righteous judgment of sin that we deserve, because Christ received that judgment in our place. This great mercy should cause us to rejoice in God’s goodness and relish the riches of his glory.

When you feel you’ve failed to reach someone for Christ, remember that God hasn’t failed to reach you. Pray in thankfulness for his mercy and grace.

As C.S. Lewis put it in The Weight of Glory,
“There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal.”
Every saved or lost soul is destined for eternity: either enjoying the fullness of joy in the presence of the Lord (Psalm 16:11) or suffering something much worse than the polar vortex:
The punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might. (2 Thessalonians 1:9).

Zoe and Reader baking cookies with Logan.
Logan slowly clicked the ice cream scoop that you were using to place cookies on the plate. “You know it doesn’t have to be perfect Logan” Zoe teased.
“No-no-no, I gotta make them juuust right!” they declared. Zoe looked to you and smile subtly.
Zoe and Reader bringing Logan to meet Zoe's family.
Larry trips up on Logan’s pronouns sometimes, but he does attempt to correct himself. Cynthia is actually more nervous than you all are as a family, because she really does want Logan to like her. Connor is absolutely the fun uncle, so they get along really well.
Zoe and reader adopting Logan
“Zoe, Y/N, meet Logan.”
Your social worker was holding the hand of a child a blue-striped shirt and overalls.
Zoe crouched down first. “Hi Logan! It’s nice to meet you!” Logan hid behind the social worker, but not before glancing at a silver locket she was wearing. “Do you like my locket, Logan?” she quickly took it off. “You can hold it if you want.” Logan timidly stepped away from the social worker. They reached out their hand, and Zoe gladly gave them the shimmery trinket.
