Today was the day. Violet was getting married. He hadn't talked to Violet since she left his place the night they fought. He had tried calling her a couple of times, but then he decided it was probably best to just let it be. That didn't mean his heart didn't ache--and that didn't mean that he didn't miss everything about her. It didn't mean that he didn't care or didn't want her or didn't love her. He just didn't know what to do.
His tux had been lying on his bed for a few hours now, as he debated with himself if he wanted to go to the wedding or not. It would be stupid to go. What would be the point of going? But then somehow, he found himself getting dressed and on his way to the church.
He couldn't let her marry someone else. He wouldn't. It didn't make any sense. So what if Jonathan was a safe bet? If he was the easy choice. So what if Logan was the risky choice? He wasn't perfect. He knew that. And he had never claimed to be. But he wasn't the guy he was in college anymore. He'd grown up. He had a real job. He had learned how to not be an asshole 98% of the time. And most of all? He learned just how much he loved Violet.
He hesitated before entering the church, and set off in search of Violet. He glanced into the chapel, spotting Violet's mom and he almost made a run for it. She was kind of a scary woman. He darted past the door and headed down the hall, in search of Violet. He peeked in the doors one by one, knowing maybe he should just call her or something but... He was sure she wouldn't answer. Especially not today.
Finally, he pushed open a door and saw her standing there. Luckily, she was alone and he let out a sigh of relief. He let himself into the room, shutting the door behind him. Her back was to him, but god damn it, she looked absolutely stunning. His breath caught in his throat, but finally he managed to speak, "Hi,"

It was late, and the fire was burning. Violet was snuggled into his chest, a movie playing on the tv that he honestly hadn't been paying much attention to. "Vi?" Logan murmured, looking down at her, "Why didn't you tell him you're leaving him?" It was a loaded question... One he didn't want to ask, honestly... But he was just thinking and it slipped out and... welp.
