portal 1 cores!!! they r all weirdgirls and they help out with testing/the facility in their own ways. morality helps look after the test subjects, curiosity helps to playtest new test chambers, logic (aka cake) helps come up with new puzzle concepts for tests, and anger sets hazards like turrets and toxic slutch in new tests!

Aperture-tober Day 10- Personality Cores

It’s Not so Empty After all || Closed with tellescope [ Logic Core ]

It was so quiet.

It was so empty.

Chibi walked the lonely halls, her paint covered hand dragging along the grime of the panels....why was it so so quiet? GLaDOS hasn’t spotted her...or perhaps has decided not to speak of her...she couldn’t spot any current test subjects running about...though they could be anywhere within this labyrinth of a facility...

....and the painter....

...she couldn’t find him.  She’s been looking for new artworks she has yet to see, hoping for a sign that he was okay.  She hasn’t found any yet, but that hasn’t stopped her search.

She had earlier found comfort in one of his dens, taking a small break from the loneliness to paint out her own frustrations against the filthy wall of a canvas.  The brush strokes helped her focus, the colors had her remain calm...

...but she was scared...

Chibi’s biggest fear was being alone..left, abandoned...

...and it was so...empty.

“....Maybe I should...try and wash up a bit....I....have no idea how long I’ve been shut down...”

Her body ached, her dress, skin, and hair was covered with dirt, dry blood, and paint...

She...felt like she just needed to try and clean off somewhere.

As she looked around, she noticed how clean the facility was looking...so then Wheatley must have really lost control and GLaDOS was running things again...maybe that meant clean water wouldn’t be as hard to find.

With an objective, she continued to traverse the lonely halls of the science facility...

It didn’t take long for her to come to a break room.  She tried both faucets that were in it...one didn’t work and the other...the water wasn’t the best but it would do.

Slowly, she took down her hair....how long has it been since she’s had a proper bath....?

She did her best to work out tangles before she began to cup water and clean off her skin and hair. Water soaked into her dress, the filth rolling off of her skin, onto the floor and her dress. She did what she could, essentially drenched.

“...At least I feel a little better...”

She went to grab a towel...only to find no towel was prepared.

“...oh.” A faint smile came to her lips, “...guess that was important...guess I gotta just...air dry? Maybe I can find one around.”

She shook off the excess water, turned off the fauce and began her search to find something to dry off with.

Portal was a BIG OL PHASE i had lmao. I guess i got more intensely into portal 2, but portal was the first one i played and it kinda got me into puzzle games as a whole? so

the cores were always my favourite though

She was a good friend of Space and Curiosity’s family and hooked them up with Aperture

She often babysat Space and Curiosity until she disappeared into Aperture and then Fact took over as their babysitter
