@logicalharmony‘s ABH glow kit swatches!
Just doing the “How Cruel is my Makeup Bag” thing a la @tessaviolet and @justkissmyfrog. I think I’m the most upset about Maybelline (I should known but its been my go to since I was 16), Nivea (I live in their moisturiser and lipgloss) and MAC. Seriously, I can get stuff for $3 from ELF thats totally cruelty free, but $40 lipstick from MAC? Nah. Step yo game up, MAC.
Tashina Combs of creator & editor of Logical Harmony, the world's most trusted resource for cruelty-free beauty & vegan lifestyle gave us a little review on our gloss snob! Check it out!
can you try the sleek contour kit or the highlighting palette? i would love to see it on your skintone
Hey! I am currently not buying anything from sleek cosmetics because they are on the “pending” brands for cruelty free makeup. I have bought their products in the past but that was when I thought they were 100% cruelty free which I am not so sure of now. Meghal and I also don’t really plan on buying products to just test them out either. We only buy stuff if we need refills or don’t have certain shades (eyeshadows). We have a highlighter that we really like so once we use that up we will buy another one and same with the contour powder. That will most likely be in about a year. It is just too expensive buy makeup to just test out. The only justification I can make to buying something like another highlighter is if I test it out in store and see a massive improvement/difference from what I already own.For example: one of our most recent videos where we tested out the milani foundation- we only did that because we are desperately trying to find a cruelty free drugstore foundation because using Nars Sheer Glow everyday is expensive. Thanks for the suggestion though! And sorry this is probably not the response you were looking for. I just figured I would explain it in depth if anyone else was wondering this too.for more information on cruelty free makeup check out logical harmony:http://www.logicalharmony.net/cruelty-free-vegan-brand-list/#axzz49WlTga59
How can something be Leaping Bunny certified, but not vegan? Isn't that the point of Leaping Bunny, to put their label on cruelty-free products?
Not all cruelty free products are vegan. “Cruelty free” just means that a product was not tested on animals. “Vegan” means that the product contains no animal ingredients (although, nearly all vegans will ONLY use products that are not only vegan but also cruelty free). Unfortunately, the terms are not interchangeable. All of the product that I personally post about are both vegan & cruelty free.
Leaping Bunny just certifies companies are cruelty free, not vegan. I prefer @logicalharmony‘s Cruelty Free Brand List. Every approved brand on her list is cruelty free with vegan options. She even points out the companies that are 100% vegan friendly. She also let’s you know which brands to avoid and which are gray area when it comes to animal testing.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you need any more help. (:
Many readers of Logical Harmony have requested a list of the vegan options available from BECCA. So many of their products have a cult following in the beauty community. The Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfectors, Backlight collection, and Ever Matte collection…Read more →
Full vegan list for becca products! and apparently they are reformulating a bunch of products to be vegan =D
Can you make a list companies that test on animals
Hey there. Unfortunately, that would take WAY too much time for me to do. The lovely Tashina over at @logicalharmony puts a lot of time and effort into her lists. Tashina contacts each brand individually and she knows exactly what to ask to get a real, first hand answer. On the list it has approved cruelty free brands, gray area brands, pending brands, and brands to avoid. She is so awesome and passionate! See her list here!
I hope this helps!
