You have always find that Senku is attractive, look-wise. He might be weak and not as strong as his best friend, Taiju, but his brain was on another level. Nothings attracted you more than a smart brain and a man who knows what he wants.
You didn't think someone would think as you do. He's not even that famous around school. A total science geek who rather spend hours in lab or in his house to do his research on how to make a rocket. It's far from the ideal student idolized by the girls.
At one point, you become grateful that he thought of you as a friend. It started from Taiju who was close with Yuzuriha. As Yuzuriha's best friend, you were introduced to Taiju and Senku. During that introduction, you immediately find yourself attracted to him.
Since then, you hang out with Senku a lot. Although sometimes, you suffered helping him in experimenting. You even started to wonder if his dad is rich because of these weird machines laying around his house.
How can someone afford that?
Also, he would spend hours try to explain about the experience that he did. Taiju would die of boredom and confusion with those scientifical explanation. While you and Yuzuriha tried your best stay for hours listening to him.
Yes, it was stressful. But you love to see him so passionate with things that he loves. Slowly, you've realized that your attraction towards his looks slowly become attraction to what he actually is.
He didn't seem like he cared, but he cared and understand his friends well with his own way. He trusted his friends' capability although he seemed egoistical and only 'using' them for his own goals. Either you were blinded by your own feelings or you're way too naive, you slowly falling in love with him.
Have you ever think about confessing your feelings? Several times. No, maybe thousands times. But you try to held on.
At this point, you don't even know if Senku ever realized your feelings. You never bother to tell him at all. Even if you tell him, you didn't even know if he could reciprocate it or not. It would be embarrassing if he didn't feel the same as you did.
So lets say, as much as you liked him, you rather it become your own little 'secret' from him. With how he focused toward his goals and dreams, you rather supported him with what you could do (at least for now.)
"Y/n! I need your help in this experiment!"
"Okay, coming right up. But I demand a treat as usual!"
"Check it on the fridge. I already buy it for you!"
And your heart flutters once again.
