Get to know our next featured tablers: Mend My Dress Press and Logios Press! We’re stoked that these zine presses and distros will be on site to distribute DIY tracts covering a range of interests. Browse their setup to snag anthologies, art books, and personal zines. Neelybat Chestnut runs Mend My Dress Press, a small publisher and zine distributor based out of Tacoma, Washington. “We are purveyors of zine anthologies, small art books, (and) investigative social pieces,” shares Neelybat. Their press was born out of grrrl love and the need for more small, independent publishing houses on the west coast that focus on preserving zines in the form of anthologies. “We believe these forms of writing and art should be documented as part of our collective cultural history, and we are proud of our active role in this effort.” Be sure to give them a shoutout and visit their table for the important work of preserving our DIY histories! https://mendmydress.com/ r.logios of Logios Press & Distribution runs a tiny zine press and distro specializing primarily in personal zine works from their home-base of Lincoln, NE – Midwest representin’ ya’ll! The works they publish and distro “exemplify the practice of saving yourself with the power of your own words,” explains r. logios. She also takes a pen to writing her own personal zines about identity and existential semi-crises. Be sure to attend her workshop, titled "Words as a Weapon: the Art and Soul of Personal Zines". Audience members can listen to a ‘performance panel’ of zine readings by personal zine authors and learn how words are used to fight back. The workshop will be held at 12:30pm in Classroom 1. http://logios.weebly.com/
