logiyogi: I actually love this quote. I can understand the word “creature” maybe sounding like an insult but a creature is really just anything created. Humans are considered creatures. Also, creatures are often referred to as something of an anomaly or something unknown and that is essentially what Ronan is. At this point in the book Ronan is in fact an “incredible creature” that they know little about when it comes to his ability.
i don’t think gansey means it in any way hurtful but idk it gives off a bit of a superior vibe if you know what i mean. he calls blue a (glorious and fearless) animal too. i feel it’s a bit dehumanising, but i might be reading it wrong (or it might just be the writing style of the book
