I can’t stop thinking about how weirdly intimate this deleted scene is. Loki’s like, ‘ugh, the cream is weird’ and Mobius is like, ‘lol, shaving cream’ and it’s just this quiet little moment of domesticity in the middle of cosmic bureaucracy. Loki looks so comfortable and dare I say… happy? Like they’re in their own little pie-filled world.

And theres something so ridiculously soft about Mobius throwing out the dumb shaving cream joke and Loki, a literal god, just giggling like an idiot. Like, Mobius could’ve said ANYTHING, and Loki would’ve been like ‘hehe, you’re so funny.’ Bro was smitten over pie and banter.

The fact that Loki parallels his Avengers-level meltdown to Mobius losing his temper ONCE is insane.

Loki sat there, ate neon pie, and thought the best way to cheer Mobius up was to remind him of his literal war crimes. AND IT WORKED.

Mobius really saw ‘held New York hostage with aliens’ and thought, ‘What a catch.’

Loki tried to relate to Mobius by dropping the most batshit insane story possible. Like, ‘You lost your temper? I get it babe I commited intergalactic terrorism because I was mad We’re the same.’ And Mobius is like, ‘Haha, you’re so cute and silly when youre mad :333’

Loki was literally like ‘haha ive done worse when I was mad’ and mobius just short circuits like ‘aaha hes so dramatic I love him’ HUSBAND BEHAVIOUR

And its the way Loki delivered that story so sincerely, like it was a heartfelt confession, and Mobius just giggled softly. Not even nervous laughter, this man was genuinely delighted. Like, ‘aww my emotionally unstable god boyfriend is opening up ^_^’

Mobius is so whipped

I do need to point out how tender this scene actually is, though. Loki, whose always been labeled as a monster for his emotions, is sitting there telling Mobius its okay to lose control sometimes. And Mobius just laughs and accepts it. They really see each other.

Mobius eating tiny polite bites of key lime pie like he’s on a formal lunch break vs. Loki shoveling cream into his mouth with vague disdain and zero hesitation. Like Mobius is the older guy teaching Loki how to be a person and now they’re on this weird bureaucratic not-date date eating fluorescent green pie.

My thoughts while being the third wheel to this Lokius DATE

The way Loki brought up the weird texture of the cream like he was gonna critique it but then just KEPT. EATING. THE. CREAM. Sir. Is that… an instinct thing? Was he nervous?? Was he trying to look casual while his brain short-circuited over Mobius being cute and saying something about shaving cream???

Look! The snake has entered your timeline, Mobius!

“Hey Dad, can we get a snake?”

Don: Sure, kid except surprise! Instead of a regular snake, here’s a 6-foot-tall god of chaos who is also my boyfriend :3

Remember how Loki’s infamous snake prank involved Thor’s trust being shattered the second Loki revealed his true form and bit him? Now contrast that with this scene: Loki slips through time and stands silently in Mobius’s life, visible but harmless, as if offering himself as the proverbial snake, one that Mobius can trust. “Here’s your snake, but this time, I promise not to bite.”

Loki follows Mobius home, quietly inserting himself into his personal world. It’s so snake-like, slithering into the crevices of Mobius’s life, entwining himself around his timeline, but never demanding to be acknowledged.

LOKI VERSUS CREAM

Loki eating just the cream after loudly judging it is peak “I don’t actually hate it; I just need to analyze it so it feels like I have control over my life” behavior.

He’s sitting there, dissecting the texture like he’s Gordon Ramsay trapped in a dystopian food critique nightmare. “do you think they manually whisk it?” Sir, you’re in a timeline-policing bureaucracy eating neon-green cafeteria pie. Why are you like this?

And it’s the way he keeps spooning JUST the cream after all that dramatic commentary. Like, he’s sitting there going, “It’s unsettling,” but at the same time, he’s shoveling spoonfuls of the stuff into his mouth as if he’s contractually obligated to figure out its exact molecular composition before the scene ends.

He’s spooning out the cream like it’s some precious substance, gently probing it as if the world depends on his ability to understand its texture. DARLING ITS OKAY YOU CAN STOP
