He could have had these braids in, his hair could have had zero grease in it for Avengers, and he looked fine otherwise. But this shoot looks so... sick.
I love the fashionable details to early Loki. Even in the way he walked, it was so... stylish. I'm rewatching the first Avengers and I'm getting sick of him (affectionately) all over again.
At least the Loki series kept his signature hair flips, even though they removed his style and cutting personality for gags. His hair has always been a different signature in every iteration, it's a statement he's making. There are so many details about his character I'm rediscovering again.
Not a detail, but Loki was never a jovial mischievous joker. Watch the movies, and you'll realize he was serious. He is sharp witted, observant, and almost soundless in his moves — at least in his first appearances, before the writers butchered the character completely. He is a trickster not because he is a prankster, but because he isn't beneath backstabbing or using people's vulnerabilities to manipulate and deceive. That is the mischief. He was never this jokester clown, and he was never supposed to be funny. He is sassy and sarcastic, in a Shakespearean kind of way. His run through 2011-2013 has made for a rather intriguing, mysterious character. I loved how he was portrayed as an internal villain, rather than an action-driven one. Especially when the genre is stupid capeshit.
Anyways.
Loki is a dark, expensive, majestic horse if you look long enough.
Ashwini is so, so flamboyant.
