That is a very good question, and a very important one. You have to be very careful when your lover slips into subspace. What I do is I ensure I do not leave them alone, subspace can become very frightening and disorienting so I insist on staying with them. I will make sure to give them water, and most times I will pull them to me, where my skin is touching theirs so they can feel I am there, and hold them either rubbing their back or running my fingers through their hair until they come back to me.

Once they are themselves I will make sure they eat and drink before helping them into the bath, and ensuring they are cleaned thoroughly before helping them into their pajamas and tucking them into bed.
