My theory about Loki's body condition.
#first I don't know if someone wrote a similar ideas as mine or not, but I searched and didn't find any so I decide to share mine.
so lets start with the mark of possession
a mark the vampires leave on those whom they suck their blood to show other vampire that this prey is mine.
vanitas also said that "...vampires embed a porting of their power in someone else..."as a sign for vampires to know the different between their power.
therefore this is not the only use of the mark, the marked one may use some power of the vampire who marked them as we saw how Vanitas used Luna's.
now lets return to our main topic,
since the first chapter a lot of curse bearers with several malnomens were introduced yet none of them had a similar body condition as Loki even Jean-Jacques who could turn into the beast had a normal body appearance,
SO what if Faustina marked Loki with her mark? Loki is wearing those strange cuffs around his neck and arms, we can't tell if he is marked on not.
and Faustina's body was smashed as Loki said but she didn't die, her soul is wandering as Neania.
it was told that Astolfo's body have 13 marks but only 5 are left,
so either the mark will be erased if the mark owner dies or the Vampires can tell from the marks if the mark owners are alive or not
but Luna's mark -who supposed to be dead- still with Vanitas, so its most likely to be the later choice or Luna is a special case
Anyway here is the scenario,
Loki helped in smashing the body of the one who marked him as her own and went against her, yet she didn't die completely her soul still exist without a vessel which caused a side effects on his body and this how his malnomen started.
from what we can see in Faustina's memory there were four people when her body smashed.
two of them looks like Veronica and Ruthven, while the other two still unknown. but it seems as someone sitting on the knees and the another is holding this person with the neck
Loki admitted that he was one of those who smashed her body yet he is the only one who seemed to be affected.
if the sitting one was Loki the one holding him maybe this one cause they have the same mini bats around their body and I suspect that he is the shapeless one he also had a stick as the De Sade grandfather, and maybe this memory have the secret of his hating towards Ruthven
Problem is we have rare information about the situation I tried to connect then and this is the result
