it always strikes me how quiet loki was during the first half of the thor movie, even before he started his big scheme, and then how mobius pointed out that he loves to talk.
he wasn’t staying quiet to benefit his plan, he had no plan. he was staying quiet because he knew he’d be shouted at or warned or mocked or told his place, any time he opened his mouth, every time. he loved to talk, but there was no one he was comfortable talking to.
it’s also worth noting that he was a prince! it’s genuinely very telling that they felt comfortable talking to him that way, no wonder he always felt inferior to thor. i don’t think he ever felt fully part of asgardian society, even before finding out he was a frost giant.
